I've been considering having a container as a garage / workshop. Check-out these 10' wide purpose built container garages.

These are expensive. Most companies selling containers will do the 'extras' this company are selling. If you want to save money buy a cheap one-trip container and get a chippy and sparky to pop round. Job done and will cost less than half of what these chaps are charging. I'm a landlord and use oversized containers for dry storage of furniture and white goods. The handbrake is electric and auto applies when you open the car door to get out. The problem is that once its in a container you cant open the door to get back in (!) and you're stuck with the handbrake on.I've actually had this problem when I pushed the car into a narrow doorway - brake on, can't open doors in the gap
Fortunately there was a 2" gap at the top of the slightly open drivers window. I threw the key in through the gap, applied the foot brakes with a broom handle and pushed the start button with another .... then once the car was running got the brake off with yet another broom push .... phew !.

Another thing I like about them ..... If you decide to move house, just take them with you.
(..... getting carried away now) Or, If you fancied an exotic driving holiday - why not stick the car in the container and ship it !

I know 'KLAW (via Rich G) and 'OSIT well - Its at Lambley at the 'mo, Gary is flying it regularly and everyone is blaming me for the racket he's making with it around Nottingham. Considering this at the moment.

These are 10’ wide, not standard 8’. They are fabricated to the wider width. Are there off-the-shelf 10’ available? If there are, do you have a link please? 32x10 is a fairly common size, shop around and you should be paying about £1500 with £100-£150 del for a used one. I got one off ebay once for about £200! I have a few 8x30 ones which are cut down from larger containers. Most will be sold as water and air-tight. One-trip are the best but more expensive. No need if using for a car tbh. Mainly for oils, chemicals etc. Just find a local company, prices should be similar across the board unless you're ordering a new one. Prices differ massively then. I use www.liftandshiftltd.co.uk but only as they're local to me. Some of the longer containers are very similar price (if not cheaper) as less people want them once they come off the ships. Chk the logos on the sides of used ones, some are better than others. Avoid any with dents in roof, collect water and rust. Make sure they fit a lock box if it hasn't already got one. One of mine got broken into but was full of sofas! The one next to it had 3 or 4 sets of HRE alloy wheels but it had a lock box fitted thank god.
Big step up in performance from an Eagle.
Expensive to run & maintain (C of A) - but still probably the cheapest way to be competitive at Advanced (assuming you want to own your A/c)
Gary & Clive know what they are doing when getting it into shape (It stood for a long time at Perth).
I'd take a close look at the fabric and get full oil analysis on some 10+ hour old oil samples - assuming that was all good (& its what you wanted), Yes
