Beautiful car but your edits are just too quick to make this watchable. Take a look at what the people around the car are looking at, where they look from, and how long they spend absorbing what they are seeing. All IMO of course but that video was frustrating to watch.

Sorry, but not a fan of exterior colour, painted rear diffuser, stripe, carbon shields, seats. To my eyes 812 looks so much better in Grigio or Blue. Tailor Made certainly brings some unique efforts as people try to be different/standout. Of course its nice that everybody likes different things, so fair play to the owner who’s hopefully got exactly what he wanted.

Gratuitous opportunity to post a photo of my blue 812!

‘Tailor made’ is, as far as i am concerned, Ferrari speak for we will paint and trim your car in any colour and interior material combo that you desire, no matter how utterly hideous the result is, as long as we are clear it was your ‘bespoke’ idea/creation. Oh and you need huge wealth/creative financing credentials as well. I’ll probably be binned by Ferrari from buying another new car for saying it (except a Portofino of course, we’d try and sell one of those to anyone) but they are turning into a company willing to sell any and too many of their fares (many of which are, such as the 812, undeniably exceptional) to any old ghastly customer with dubious taste.

Your money is no better than anyone else’s Seawise, people will spec their car however they wish. You don’t need to approve.

of course not, I don't seek to approve. I just think I don't fit with the current ownership profile any longer and feel increasingly uncomfortable with modern Ferrari ownership and what that might say about me. The cars are outstanding, and that is why wanted one, why I saved and ordered one. But the desire to shift more and more tin to a shrinking pool of interested parties is becoming an issue. I spent years planning to order a new V-12 Fezza because I always wanted to have that special moment/experience. Have a look at you-tube (as my kids point out to me) and you'll see countless halfwits acquiring them on the spur of the moment. It takes something away for me, it erodes the specialness of Ferrari. I fear for the future, have to say. Anyway, onwards and upwards.

Lovely in met red or baby blue (for a girl) but I agree with Seawise. Embarrassing to be driving around in same car as many of these half wits. Takes the specialness away. Chaos!

Wise words. The brand is getting diluted by association, never understood why FNE was so keen to engage with pretty much any youthUber and so influenzas. All a bit tasteless.

Echoed in one of the episodes of collecting cars I listened to recently. The new car moment is getting diluted so much they take away the specialness and mistery of it all.

I mean when car wow reviews a GT4C v12. Once upon a time you waited for EVO to come out and read a story of an epic trip across Europe. Now you see the stick of truth, another video of HEY GUYS 5 THINGS I HATE ABOUT THE GT4C and then an 812 in baby blue. Come on.

It’s getting idiotic. Rant over. Me loves a good 812.

Spot on, and it’s not just Ferrari being ruined. I have always loved cars and I feel my hobby has been stolen by people that have nothing in common with actual owners, or the last era of owners that were always generally very open, lovely, helpful and shared a passion. Its just about hits and moving on and all the BS that justifies it. They have made cars just another luxury good for many to aspire to like an Louis Vuitton handbag or expensive shoes, etc rather than any real love of cars or driving them. It’s making me think I’m done with fast cars as I just don’t want to with associate with or be associated with them as it makes me look and feel bad about myself as the joy and positive associations and feedback has gone

Do you need an exceptionally large amount of room for your head then?
