Recent reviews of Mcl and buying experience from Mcl Manchester. Interesting disclaimer they ask customers to sign and faults at purchase on 720s/570s bought by father and son together. Interesting on a brand new 2019 £265k 720s - supercar ownership with a twist.

Buying experience.

What is the "knock" sensor that he's talking about in the first video??? And how can it fail if the car is left out in the rain?

No idea...but mines now stays out in the rain sleet and snow and it has no issues at all.

Never let the truth get in the way of a good story!

It's 100% BS (by dealer). Never heard anything like this, ever. About any brand of car.

Knock sensor is what detects knocking due to premature detonation in cylinders and retards the timing. Any supercar has them, as do many (all?) normal petrol cars now.

It sounds like that dealer simply gives their stock of cars no care whatsoever, with them being damaged so frequently.

That was my understanding of what a knock sensor is, but couldn't get my head round why an engine sensor would fail just by leaving the car in the rain. I also wondered if it was a sensor associated with the alarm system. Having said all that, if someone told me that things will start to fail if my car gets rained on I'd just laugh in their face!

Next the dealer will be saying don't refuel (feed) it after midnight.

I think they've been watching too much of the Gremlins film smile
