So my trip up north with a few guys from work went great, didn’t quite get the best weather at times but all in all the car/cars were excellent.
Justin’s Suggestion of Old military road/braemar was excellent too, Jayemm on cars was at glen shee doing some filming but not sure what of.

Anyway enough chat hereS a few pics of the trip below , now just need to sort a euro trip !!

Looks great, very jealous of that trip. My group of mates aren't interested in road trips, it's all track days, which are great, but there is something about getting out on the open road with a bunch of like minded peeps.

Absolutely agree. It’s not just track. The enjoyment of a nice drive on a proper A/B road is important as well. There’s more chance to appreciate little things, feedback from chassis and powertrain.

Well I haven’t updated this in a while and I’m only a couple of weeks away from 1years ownership, the car continues to be faultless, I renewed the warranty as I mentioned previously for peace of mind more than anything.

I have still been using it as much as possible I actually can’t stop driving it to be honest, that’s the hardest part about ownership , but as the weather is now turning pretty grim on the west coast of Scotland i SORNed it this morning and it will remain tucked up in the garage till the new year.

The last few weeks I have found myself looking at the classifieds for a 991 GT3 and it’s becoming a bigger itch than I thought it would , So I’m tempted to put the mac up for sale......

That is really stunning in that colour; McLarens just look even more amazing in volcano colours or napier.

I wonder if after the GT3 you would hanker to get back into a McLaren?

If I do move it on i may regret it but I would absolutely have another, I’m not sure there’s much else that’s going to give you the same experience to be honest at the price point.
I did get an offer from the dealer to buy it today ( I answered one of the are you interested in selling texts ) but I won’t be letting them have it for that !

I think you’d massively regret swapping that for a 991 GT3, feels like it would be a significant backward step. They are great cars, but the 570 is on another level and so much more special. And you’ve obviously got a good one there.

I know, I’m still very much on the fence over the whole thing. I haven’t ever been in a gt3 so I may need to go try one, see what I think

This is an absolutely smashing spec, I'm sure you would have plenty of offers. It's the best spec I've seen personally and I love it. Athe bright colours look fantastic

If the OP was to consider selling, I’d suggest speaking with someone like Alastair Bols as I understand he has a good reputation for McLarens & apparently not only buys “for stock” but also sells “on consignment” & sources cars for customers. I have no affiliation to him but if the OP had a Porsche itch, he does occasionally have them in stock as it seems owners move back/forth between the two brands. I also see Rybrook McLaren are a bit light on used stock.

Now in the classifieds for sale !!, I don’t need to sell it and part of me feels sick at the thought of it going because I love it so we will see how it goes.

A little update, not much to report really. I haven’t driven the car since early December, well that’s not strictly true every other week I get it out the garage , turn everything on and off, let it warm up drive it a few miles/clean it and back the the garage it goes. I’m fortunate enough that my garage is connected to the house central heating so it’s always nice and warm in there, no issues with condensation/moisture.

I took these this morning ( bearing in mind this is where
I live, I haven’t travelled anywhere and you can see this from my house ! )
