The reliability stuff is my only concern, Is there any logic in the thought that the newer models had more of the issues resolved being leaving the factory? I'm thinking of putting more deposit to get a newer car (maybe even a spider) to avoid the reliability issues as much as I can as it will be my daily.
Yes and I’ve seen it mentioned more on the 720s. The earlier models seem to suffer from more software gremlins than later models although a software upgrade should sort most niggles.

On the rear of the 720 you can distinguish between the earlier and later models by the McLaren swipe logo colour - red is earlier models, white later.

Thats exactly what I found, when I first starting looking I was drawn by the visuals of the Huracan and 458, however the 570s, 650s etc in photos looked nice, but not as wow...? However in person!!!.....
..and as a technical I guy I really that like their form is designed for function, as opposed to flared fenders and wedge shapes for style only.

And I’m convinced those who fine them boring to drive (supporting the comment earlier in the thread) don’t actually drive, and instead talk about non-driving things like the noise ....
