No 720s has yet reached 3 years since registration. Autumn 2017 was when the first of the customer cars were delivered, press cars were a bit earlier
I'm not sure I understand his point then.
Are you not talking about a 720S?

They are 100% covered. They are told to say there is no issue etc but they hands down will sort it.
Do you have that in writing or maybe you were shown some good will ?

My Service manager specifically asked HQ at my request and was told they are not covered under the extended warranty (not the factory 3 year first one)
On my 650 spider it was replaced free of charge on its 4th year service.

My car is on the extended warranty.

I can see there being no distinction between models for Woking to refuse unless it has arisen from stonechip damage or similar.

Extended warranty does not cover glass, those are the terms..... one would hope for some goodwill for the stress crack issue but it sure isn't guaranteed.

TB, only yourself and Lee Jones jnr have debated if it is covered under warranty.

As i have mentioned in previous posts that after 3 years it is definately not a warranty issue, it is a goodwill issue.

At just less than 4 yrs old, i explained McLaren Glasgow changed my cracked screen on goodwill upon Woking granting it without any problems or drama when it was in for a service.

Maybe because i had taken out the extended warranty it helped with the goodwill.

As i mentioned, if the crack has resulted from damage ie a stone chip, if will not be offered under goodwill.

I cannot give you any other views than my personal experience.

Hope this helps or clears it up.

Quite agree on buying a McLaren at current prices, they may go lower but if new production stays at a reduced level , we may not see this.

Plenty of folks will talk prices down but with lockdown easing who knows!!

Matt Prior was way out on the 720s price, list was over £280,000. Purchaser would not of paid that, as he bought 2
