Oh yes please, more of this please.

And yes I do love my full alcantara interiors and P1 seats, it’s just so special.

Leather becomes glossy, Alcantara doesn’t.

Has the car been wrapped napier green ?
It looks like green in the photo yet the seats are orange which seems an unusual combination

Yes it has, underneath it’s Saros Grey, which in a few weeks it’s going back too.

How much were these if you don't mind me asking...standard seats are decent already tbh but would really like the P1 buckets for mine.
It was part of the deal when I bought the 720S in February so don't have a definitive price. Due to Covid, the supply chain has been disrupted but they have just been delivered to the dealer - can't complain. There's a used pair for sale on fleabay for £8K.

At £8k I don't like them that much!

Small update on this which has amused me no end laughconfused

Just been looking at insurance quotes and my current insurer has quoted for both a 12C and a 540C, pretty much same price for both which is good. The crazy thing is that I have 2 options for where it lives, girlfriends driveway(preferred as it simplifies things) and her mums house 5 miles away in a garage. The 12C they said had to go on the driveway where I was living but the 540C had to be in the garage 5 miles away and wouldn't quote for the driveway. Hilarious if you ask me! rolleyesrolleyeslaughlaughragerage

I guess they’ve seen those youtube videos where 12c’s don’t start up - so no danger of being stolen...

Get a quote from Admiral. Costs me £700 PA, 52 years old, 4 points for speeding, 10K Miles limit, £1K excess. Parked in garage. Very few are stolen (I doubt any are) from driveways.

Yeah they are about the best quote coming up on Gocompare but I'm with Aviva currently and it's a multicar and as I pay monthly and tend to change cars frequently there is no penalty for adding and removing vehicles, changing plates etc. Just phone up and it's altered there and then. A fair bit cheaper for both cars than Admiral are quoting too!

Might be worth speaking with Admiral directly to see what they can do. My multi-car with them includes Lambo, Noble, Porsche and a couple of others and is less than £700 and I’ve added/ removed with only minor admin charges. No McLaren yet, maybe they’ll add some noughts on when that happens.

Car bought and arrives Thursday, went with Admiral for insurance around £850 for 2 cars on a driveway which was as good as I could get it without going with silly excesses. Mclaren will be in a garage some of the time but it's a fair way from my girlfriends where I now live so I'm assuming it won't go there a lot I'm guessing? beerbiggrinlaugh

I picked up similar about 6 weeks ago, 18 plate 540c with 4.5k miles.

First impressions are that it feels like a better riding, hugely quick big brother to a lotus Elise.

Every drive feels like an event. It rides and steers remarkably well.

Feels very solidly screwed together. With nose lift it’s both a lot faster and more practical than the gt4 it replaced.

Main reason I went with a 540 vs a 12C was the nose lift due to my girlfriends driveway. Also much newer car, possibly not quite as special as a 12C suspension wise but it's a big step up from the Cayman never the less driving
