Congratulations Mac, really pleased for you.
Looks amazing in that colour.
Remember talking to you at The Bulls Head about them some time ago. Hopefully get to see it there at some point.

Thanks for great comments guys, very much appreciated. I love all McLarens and it looks perfect, aged well and I wanted one from the off but never imagined I'd actually have one in my garage. It just clocked 12k miles on arrival home and whilst I may have paid towards the top end of the 12c market it is indeed an absolutely top spec car costing £231,500 when new, with the added bonus of a McLaren inspection/warranty on day of purchase. I sat in it for hours Saturday night pressing buttons, looking at this and that then my Deb bought me a pillow in when she went to bed hehe I came from an Aston Martin and previous to that four TVR's (the last having 573hp) and other interesting 'quick' stuff back in the day but this thing blows them away in every regard. I promise to try not to bore you with my exploits with the car so please forgive my immediate excitement. bounce

OP- Please excuse this short hijack ( and congratulations on a lovely car - enjoy ++ )

MAC720S - Is that a collapsible garage in the photos that you have posted ?
If so please could you tell me how well it stands up to strong winds , and who the manufacturer is .

It pegs down so can stand a decent wind. I built a metal base plate within it which clamps to the internal poles. The vehicle wheels parked on the base acts as further weight to keep it in place. I used it for garaging the Can Am Spyder.

Outstanding carbon fibre content!

It doesn't matter if you paid on the upper scale of 12c prices; thats a corking colour with an amazing spec to match.

I had same colour with slightly more carbon and sold it very quickly privately for more than AB sold a very similar spec car.

Only problem is it makes it very hard to what possible colour to move on to...

correction...i just noticed the carbon wheel arch liners...pretty near same amount of carbon bits!laugh

I really think you should change the number plates though Mac, having somebody else's personal plates on your car really is a bit naff.....

Two weeks in,,,,,, 500 miles and I love this car. Only three cars have made me feel like this; My very first, a Ford Anglia for 80 quid in '76 after selling my moped. A Lotus esprit Turbo in '96 as I always wanted one and now this, just the absolute cherry on top, Epic. Apologies for getting over excited as for a change, 'the having' is actually better than 'the wanting'! As you were. getmecoat

Hi, it was negotiated in the price of the car along with an inspection with McLaren at £5,400 total. Next year I will probably have a chat the Thorney Motorsport. I can absolutely recommend the services of Graham Davidson at 'The Autolounge' Aberdeen who sourced the car for me etc. He has since been in touch to make sure every thing is as it should be.
