Hi All! Been a long time lurker - looking for a 570 or a 540c

came across this one on autotrader: 2019, with warranty, seems to be the cheapest on the marker.... anyone know why?

https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/201908141...

Many thanks in advance!

It’s being sold by a McLaren dealer so little to worry about.

It is a 2018 MY car but registered in 2019, other than that it looks a very good car.

Buy it and enjoy it, McLarens are made to be driven !

Nice colour and as you say good value at that price.

I would suggest it may have been used as a courtesy car up to now, one being it's been owned by McLaren London and secondly probably built as a stock car. It seems that most of the delivery mileage 570/540 cars that were available over the last couple of years have the plain leather interior which to me lets it down a little. Built 2018 and registered 2019 as it didn't sell and put on the road as a courtesy car as a result.

This was up for £100k previously and looks like they have just knocked £10k off the price so now looks a really good deal especially when you consider the warranty and benefits that come from buying from a main dealer.

Only slight downside is perhaps the monotone interior?

Lovely colour. Re the above. If this concerned you Auto Trim in Leicester could swap out some of the panels to add a bit of interest. Personally I think colour matched blue inserts would look the business.

In the flesh, Curacao Blue is stunning...pics really cannot do justice to it.

That will have some impact wherever you pull up in it.

Fantastic price for a fantastic car.

Might be tempted - anyone want to guess what I could trade it in for in 2 years time ?

I'd think the 12C is a good example of where they will be.

12C and 540/570 both have their advantages but can see them both settling around a very similar value

Any idea what they'd charge?

I'm not sure, but it would be cost viable, no doubt. I've used them over the years whenever a job I've had needed a new panel, and for single panels (IIRC) they have always been under £100. I can't say what extra they'd want for colour matching a hide though?

A rule of trimming is that how easily the seat comes apart and goes back together determines cost, to a certain extent. Give them a call tomorrow (know the number off by heart 0116 2169920) and they can advise further. Say Rob from Leather Better sent you.

Oh, and they are the preferred trim restorer for Gray Paul Ferrari..... if they're good enough for them, and all that....
