I've tried to put up something to the point and articulate, but reading them back I've deleted as I'd be banging my head against a wall it seems and as for some arguing about font/logo I know better than you shyte, FFS sleep
John, I admire your tenacity and intent and I wish you luck. Try to ignore the trolling.
PS; I did not at all appreciate the other guys video.

Thorney needs to have this topic erased. It’s not good for him.
Why don't you just see your warranty out with Thorney and move across to the McLaren package?
Edited: I see Tommy had been offered his money back - only issue is if he takes it then he will have to STFU. As long as Thorney have 'his money' he feels he has the right to hold them to account for.. well...I'm not sure what he has his panties ruffled about.

Or accept the refund offered?

Well done John at Thorney.

Don't let the bucket-mouths get you down.

Old MP4-12C's may just start going back up in value ?? 650S next ?

Now that would be a great classic McLaren, and in the supercar range !

I would be surprised if he does because a) TT would be revealed to the very person he’s been attacking for the last few days or b) he doesn’t have a warranty with Thorney.

Mcl HQ in drag are perhaps on this thread eh Tommy? smile Show me any independents service garage in UK that does not file accounts for smaller companies please. Awful hatchet job posts as mentioned previously. Short term company values at Woking with little or no understanding of petrolheads.
I’m sure if John was concerned about this whole topic, he would probably have good cause to have it removed.

This whole topic acts as an audit trail for a potential legal dispute in support of Johns case - reputation damage - loss of business etc. caused by a ridiculous decision to withhold parts, clearly in breach of the MVBER’s.

John has responded to all criticism and questions throughout this whole thread in a calm, objective and fair manner.

He’s probably sat back in his office chair right now, with a big grin on his face - he’s no fool. Hopefully he is taking screenshots just in case it does get removed at the request of another party.

He’s a micro-business being bullied by a large enterprise (TB993tt, that’s over 250 employees mate).

A recent PH 720S buyers guide even makes reference to this thread.

I may dress up in female clothes, but it doesn’t have the McLaren logo on it.
You should defo get a female super hero costume to go with your sexy supercar. I'd love to see a pic. No Mcl logos I hope winkhehe

So who is Tommy Terrible?

You'll excuse me for being naive but if someone tells me they are a customer and they are not happy then I want to deal with it, clearly he's not a customer, nor has one of our warranties but would be nice to know who he is and why he seemed so keen to criticise me and our business.

We don’t know for sure but over the last 12 months there’s been the odd poster on here who really trolls with a negative agenda. Rambo Lambo was the original who left (banned?) and he was then strangely/coincidentally followed by a string of new accounts with the same negative MO - William Weaver was one, there were was 1/2 others (can’t recall their login names) and Tommy Terrible seems to be latest of this generation.

We’ll know if TT = RamboLambo = William Weaver when he doesn’t contact you for a refund.

I haven’t used Johns services as of yet, but nothing on this thread would put me off TBH,
I’m on a couple of his Facebook groups, and he’s always offering helpful advice etc
It’s good for the brand and owners to have options regarding service and repair

A fox always leaves a trail. RamboLambo, William Waiver and Tommy Terrible are the same person.

Its the main reason I dont use forums much these days, too easy to hide who you are, usually means you have a ulterior motive for the comments you make which for me puts them in the psycho category of people I'd like to avoid.

This is quite a surreal thread...

I don't own a McLaren but I am tempted. Its all the more tempting because Thorney (and other indys) exist to give me some choice.

But I do know John from years back when he and the team looked after and modded my VX220T. Spent many a happy hour chatting with him. IME he's a hard-working decent guy, dedicated to his business (he was sleeping above the garage at TMS in the early days), always looking to innovate, and he understands the importance of looking after the customer. Unsurprisingly, he had a very loyal customer base, I assume that's true today.

It's certainly nice not to have a personal interest / responsibility for discussions when actions and opinions can maliciously be argued in both directions, sometimes just to sir up trouble to no advantage.

I think that mis-information is in fact the greatest risk of our more open social media orientated lifestyle.

Democracy is a fragile treasure where good purpose can so easily be disrupted with confusing facts, diversionary tactics and deliberate mis-information. As we see.

So it's up to us to keep the place as straight as we can ? Thanks John !

So many people said to me 'dont post, you're making it worse for yourself' but for me I cant sit by and watch untruths take hold, I'd rather openly discuss it and get to the bottom of it all even if its hard work, I'm a strong believer that being open has greater value that hiding something.

Take the comments form TT about us going bankrupt, I could easily get upset and ask PH to take the comments down as libellous but I'd rather let the truth come out (emerge it feels like sometimes) when someone else with a bit of a brain looks at our accounts and confirms what I already know.

Its ultimately why I rarely post here or on any forum where the usernames are not linked to a real life person, people hide behind pseudonyms and use that cloak to say quite outrageous things which if they could be held easily accountable they wouldnt dream of saying, the old 'would you say that to someones face' analogy for posting comment on line. Its also why I post under my own name, its not like you dont know who you're talking.

I'm glad its come to full circle, agree its shamefull thread for PH and I would still like to know who this TT is but I guess it is what it is.

Thank you to all our loyal customers who have supported us in all this, it is very much appreciated and as I have said earlier our customers are all we care about, if they are happy then we are happy and I am happy. QED

I wouldn't be put off using an independent by what I've seen written in this thread, owning a McLaren is a bucket list goal, I don't know if it will ever happen but having a choice of where to go for replacement (or repairs rather than replacement) can only be a good thing, guess I'm in trouble with two companies when I wear this !

I'd be similarly calmly defending my business from untruths and nonsense too Thorney. I sense a clear win here but I suspect those that are negative about things have long since cast their die and their agenda is set. I'm sure I'll get a Macca one day and I prefer real engineers to tiers of invoicing suits for better value based maintenance! All good. Good luck to you.

Indeed.

Has TT requested his refund yet?
