Well played; you have got a fantastic car at a fantastic price.
If you were still planning on doing alterations to your own spec, even if you spent £20k your still well ahead of current prices.
I love mines, and I still feel as though prices of these shall start with a 3 in the not too distant future.
If you are coming up to collect, give me a shout and I shall meet you with mines and grab lunch at the Old Course! I am around 25 mins from the stated location.
May I ask how you suggest refinishing the wheels? If you were still planning on doing alterations to your own spec, even if you spent £20k your still well ahead of current prices.

I was thinking of doing the centers/spokes in bodycolour snd leaving the lip in a diamond cut finish.

congratulations BR ... that looks real value for money and if in the future you decide to make changes then you have the budget in place to tailor the car to your personal choices. Lets face it ... its going to drive and sound the same regardless!!
Thank you!I will be doing a few changes but will be leaving the interior as it was a very expensive from MSO and is likely the only 675 spider in the UK with a full MSO leather interior.
I am super excited to enjoy the car.

Very wise to leave the interior as it is after all a very unique and expensive MSO option. In actual fact the more I look at it the more I like it as it contrasts so well with the MSO Fire Black exterior. All it needs is a damn good detail and PPF to the front, mirrors and sills to avoid future hassle.
I agree Taffy. Thank you for the help and advice. I did pay more than I hoped, but I am happy as I really like black and there aren't any low Mile nice ones out there except this.Wheelspinning said:

Thats a really nice finish your considering; one of my young lads has a black C63 coupe and thats the finish on his alloys and it looks fantastic.I was thinking of doing the centers/spokes in bodycolour snd leaving the lip in a diamond cut finish.
My wheels have the faces and lips finished in the liquid chrome finish ( looks just like diamond cut but painted ) and the inners finished in a dark matt colour which pretty nearly matches the carbon cills, front spoiler and rear diffuser.
Regards to your new 675, I am pretty sure that with a good detail that paintwork shall come up amazing; Black always does.
My car has ppf to every single part inc the carbon, which has kept it all like knew; if it doesn't have that already fitted, I would recommend it after a full detail.
I am also sure that in the flesh the interior colour shall also be stunning.
All in all a great purchase.
I will be doing a detail and ppf for sure.
I am also looking into a protective scrape plate to protect the front diffuser.

I attached some Sliplo pads to the underside of my 600LT and so far after 2 years they're still in perfect condition but the rest of the undertray's looking pretty battered so just double check they get fitted in the right place.I will be doing a detail and ppf for sure.

You must be over the moon when are you collecting it and sharing some pics.
Thank you very much! I am super excited. I will be collected in 2 to 3 weeks. I have to travel from Saturday. You must be over the moon when are you collecting it and sharing some pics.
I am trying to sort out while I am gone:
- A good detailing
- PPF with ceramic coating
- Refinishing the wheels - bodycoloured wheels with the lip diamond cut.
- scrape protection on the front splitter
My new 992 gt3 touring manual and the 675lts will be ready upon my return. To say I am excited is the understatement of the century.

I actually really like the silver wheels against the black, think it suits the classic style interior colour very well and I’m usually a black wheels only person.I am trying to sort out while I am gone:

It really is a stunning and unusual example OP. I hope you enjoy it!
I am thinking of getting another set of wheels and leaving the oem wheels as is. I am going for an OEM Plus look with the ability to fully return to stock.
Given the price of another set of oem wheels and my failed attempts to find a used set, I have found two monoblock styles I like.
May I ask:
1) Is it crucial to have wheels that are the exact same dimensions etc as stock? The wheel produces make them custom and are suggesting wider wheels and possible larger size.
2) what do you think of these 2 options.

I dont get messing about with such a beautiful car out of the box other than an exhaust upgrade to improve the sound even more.
At least if you are going to do it for your own personal tastes having it easily reversible is ok for resale
I guess it is important to remember one has to buy a car specced by someone else. When numbers are so limited like the 675lt there will be things one doesn't care for. For me luckily I found a well loved black car which is my favourite colour. The only thing I don't love is the wheels so I am trying to make her my love.At least if you are going to do it for your own personal tastes having it easily reversible is ok for resale
Here is my other new love, manual with exclusive crayon interior, which will be kept completely stock other than fitting my jcr exhaust.

Yes because returning a 675lt with a Thorney custom exhaust back to stock is much easier than swapping wheels back on, isn't it rambo? At least if you are going to do it for your own personal tastes having it easily reversible is ok for resale

Option 1 for me. Not sure on colour choice though with your incoming 675 though! Are you sure it's not worth just waiting for a used set of the superlights to come available?
I am going to give it a couple more weeks then I am ordering my own set.Funny enough, Iam pretty sure the wheels on my car are the most expensive option from McLaren.

Congratulations Brnt great that you grabbed a bargain, hope you are v excited at incoming new motor
Ref wheels, I'd live with the car for a bit and see how you feel about the rims as currently fitted. Am sure a set of Mc oem 5 or 10 spoke wheels will pop up at some point.
Regards the previous post on exhaust, is quite loud as standard, again would live with it and see how you get on. Plus is spider so can drop rear window for increased volume if wished.

I will not do anything to risk the warranty on the 675. No exhaust, no tunes, Nadal, nothing.
I was referring to my 992 touring as I already have a jcr titanium beauty from my Speedster.

There is a set of 10 spokes on ebay for £10k but that seems crazy to me.Ref wheels, I'd live with the car for a bit and see how you feel about the rims as currently fitted. Am sure a set of Mc oem 5 or 10 spoke wheels will pop up at some point.

Yes that seems strong money for set of 10 spokes, they do pop up from time to time for sensible money (relative of course). Ref exhaust - was commenting following another poster proposing exhaust change on LT, if use car on mway and long trips then even more fruity set-up might be too much. Agree on keeping car stock to maintain the McWarranty. Porsche looks lovely
Turbo cars are quiet doing motorway speed on a run.On an LT the road noise will be way louder than the exhaust.
The benefit of 200 cel race cats is more noise lower down the rev range and better throttle response.
They also promote more pops and bangs on both upshift and downshift but not cheap at £6k
Just kidding.
I think there is a strong case leaving this car oem. Rare and future collectible.

The 675LT is plenty loud enough already, lots of drama in the engine dept., inside and out. I only know one owner who has an aftermarket exhaust and its too much IMHO. As they have limited insulation there is more road noise than other cars at motorway speeds but you can still chat without raising your voice and my wife doesn't mind which is the big test. The big bonus on the m-way, with the 675LT, is 36mpg! The last thing I would ever do to a 675LT is spend £6K to make it sound like a Vauxhall Corsa pulling up to MacDonald's.
Well said Paul. Custom exhaust would seriously devalue a 675lt IMHO. I certainly wouldn't look at one. Taffy66 said:
I would leave it 100% stock as its a fantastic and unique spec as it is. Its a great buy but its so easy to spoil the deal by adding after market parts to it. Just get it paint corrected before adding PPF if it hasn't already got it.
You are 100% right Taffy but the wheels are a must for me. I hope a set of 10 spokes oem turn up but it's looking doubtful..
