I had this choice last year, i preferred the sports series, reasons being:

Newer model with Monocell 2
Less on warranty
Its a weekend/fun car so not overly bothered about the benefits of the proactive suspension
And subjectively, prefer the looks and interior of the sport series

All in all it just seemed the better bet for me.
Makes sense - thanks for replying

Exact reasons I went for a 570S Spider. Cost me a bit more than the 650S Spider but worth it

They have gone up

I bought a 17k miles 650S Spider from McGlasgow last year for £88.5k

Same car today from McL dealer would be £105k?

Same here.

Trick suspension and aero wing at the back ~ just something else to go wrong.

You really don't want to see where these guys park their cars if they are not in the showroom..

I briefly looked at 570, but choose a 12c over it. wink

Some thoughts

1) 650S up to £110k, 720S from £145k, so 'only' £35k gap (albeit Spider vs Coupe)

2015 650S £110k https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202205155...
2017 720S £145k https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202112030...

And that's between a five year old and a seven year old car.

2) Sports Series are newer, perceived lower maintenance costs (£3k vs £5k warranty?), and got better ratings from journalists on release.
"Best 650S in country" OMG Stevie Wonder is selling his car, thats a hideous turquoise monstrosity.

Presume its a wrap but the lack of taste would seriously worry me
A friend of mine has a 570s in that colour (with black leather mind) I'll pass on your thoughts! The colour is always something people love TBH.

They haven't yet - and those are what made the Mac special and the reason I got into the brand in the first place, though. Tried 650 against the 570 back-to-back-to-back - old story I posted here several times - the 650 was indeed special....

I never considered that when looking, the aero wing was one thing i really liked about the 650 over the 570 and once i am in position to upgrade, the 720s
is the one for me!

Awful clash of random colours. Must be a wrap. Over priced....
