Why is the 650s so cheap?

I had this choice last year, i preferred the sports series, reasons being:
Newer model with Monocell 2
Less on warranty
Its a weekend/fun car so not overly bothered about the benefits of the proactive suspension
And subjectively, prefer the looks and interior of the sport series
All in all it just seemed the better bet for me.
Makes sense - thanks for replying Newer model with Monocell 2

Exact reasons I went for a 570S Spider. Cost me a bit more than the 650S Spider but worth itNewer model with Monocell 2

You really don't want to see where these guys park their cars if they are not in the showroom..

Some thoughts
1) 650S up to £110k, 720S from £145k, so 'only' £35k gap (albeit Spider vs Coupe)
2015 650S £110k https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202205155...
2017 720S £145k https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202112030...
And that's between a five year old and a seven year old car.
2) Sports Series are newer, perceived lower maintenance costs (£3k vs £5k warranty?), and got better ratings from journalists on release.
"Best 650S in country" OMG Stevie Wonder is selling his car, thats a hideous turquoise monstrosity.1) 650S up to £110k, 720S from £145k, so 'only' £35k gap (albeit Spider vs Coupe)

Presume its a wrap but the lack of taste would seriously worry me

They haven't yet - and those are what made the Mac special and the reason I got into the brand in the first place, though. Tried 650 against the 570 back-to-back-to-back - old story I posted here several times - the 650 was indeed special.... Trick suspension and aero wing at the back ~ just something else to go wrong.
