I’m pretty sure that car was up for sale at a couple of other dealers earlier in the yr, remember it being described as tuned in one ad…seems they’ve gotten it sorted to be under McL warranty again tho.

You are correct......someone bought it, had issues, was told it needed a new engine, McLaren declined the claim, buyer rejected the car back to the dealer.....you would assume that someone then had to pay for a new engine themselves to get it back under warranty....no reserve says to me that someone wants it gone and off their books.....

I've just had a little look at prices on 600LTs having bought one in July. Oh dear....well I'm enjoying iy but no doubt 10 to 20k has gone off the prices on them in the back half of this year. Mine was 147 and is in need of warranty topping up next month so really 150 but with 18 months warranty is my man maths. One did go on CC for 130k a few weeks after I bought mine. They should stabilise around 120 to 130 for coupes I would think its hard to gauge how much interest rate increases will hit this market. I don't think I would want a replacement car on 10%+ APR!

Sounds like one to avoid with such a sketchy past, to many miles on it anyway but I suppose that’s what will make it cheaper than others advertised..

It’s awful when you see your car depreciating over night, I know I’ve been there on several occasions, always gonna happen though no matter how much you don’t want it to,, hope your right about 600LT coupe prices though, will be an attractive buy for that sort of money

Noticeable that it seems three times as many cars were put on the market (18) as sold (6), so seems number listed on AT is nudging upwards.

The sold cars this week look middle of the market in terms of price and age/mileage, not much to be said about them really.

A number of price reductions on 570GTs especially the later cars. I think sellers have been valuing the 2018-on cars with ceramic brakes a step above the earlier ones, however buyers either are unaware or don't care about the distinction (and after all plenty of cheaper 570Ss have them).

McLaren London have nudged the price down on three of their four 570 Spiders, understandably as the winter draws in.

My 'Car of the Week' is this Vega Blue GT - the second cheapest of the 2018-on cars, with forged wheels and a great colour at under £100k. Only thing is that someone's clearly enjoyed it, with 31k miles on the clock. Plus it's at an independent dealer, so if you want a warranty you'll have to get it to McLaren for inspection and pay for it yourself. But tempting.

Great details smile

What strikes me as really odd though, is why would anyone pay the same, close to or more for a 540c than a 570s??

Nothing against a 540c but a 570s is surely the more desirable car with ceramics, body differences and a splattering more hp and higher rrp.

Funny how everyones tastes are different, the car of week you mention is a nice car, but with 31k miles and £100k, i think thats expensive, despite the spec.

If i go back to a year and a half ago when i bought my 570s, i wouldnt have looked at anyone of the sold, reduced or new listed cars, recession white/blacks/greys. The best sounding one is the McGlasgow Vega Blue. I think meps had a great buy on his volcano yellow personally. Maybe i was fortunate, i had the likes of Sarnies Napier Green 570s for sale to drool over, i was just desperate for a track pack

Weirdly watching the 720s coupe market at the moment which seems firm at £150k for a good one, most new adverts are whites/blacks.

I went in eyes wide open I knew there would be some winter bargains but I wanted the summer in it. Life's too short. The losses over a 2 to 3 year period will be acceptable. It was never going to be like the GT3 RS it replaced financially but boy oh boy is it a better car.

Maybe the one Alistair Bols just sold at £131k is a glimpse into the way they are heading, still cant get my head around why that was 10k cheaper than pretty much everything else.

Motivated SOR seller probably. I have seen a few at around 130. I think they will go lower over this winter for sure. I keep my eyes on the 458 market as well and that's the same tale a lot of the cars have been for sale all year. MCLeeds still have the Spider I tested in July and there are one or two others that seem to have been up for sale for a very long time.

The 600 and probably to an extent the other sports series cars are still in that phase of life where there are loads around (50 600LT on auto trader) its a big number but over time less will be available. Maybe over time the issues will settle off a bit too so there are less horror stories around and that will help people be more relaxed. Could do with a good indie up North that would save me on warranty costs!

Yeah that AB car was well specced and seemed a good price but probably went for less in all likelihood…orange might not be for everyone even tho McLarens generally pull it off well.

Had my eye on that one. Perfect spec apart from wrong seats for what I'm looking for!

I know the Senna seats are the better option on the 600Lt's, but i actually prefer the P1's to sit in.

If mine had sold a week earlier i would have probably taken a look at that at that price point.

I agree, i doubt there was anything questionable with that car being at AB either, certainly not going to help 600LT residuals if buyers saw that price!

FWIW I think the Senna seats are second to the P1 Touring amongst actual buyers. I would have been more than happy with the comfort seats but needed the P1 to get in the car with a helmet on. The Sennas were just not comfortable I've heard a lot of people say the same.

Yep I tend to agree, P1s are the best seats for resale.
