Anyone have an outlook for old Sports Series range?

I don't see any McLaren Manchester Sports Series that have been reduced in the past seven days, which cars are you looking at? (Could be my error).
I'm seeing a 570GT and a 570 Spider have had £3k off at McLaren Birmingham this week, plus £1k off a Spider at Hatfield.

You're absolutely correct, thanks, will fix my bug now! I'd seen the reductions but was somehow not including them in the 'past week' changes listing.https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202209139...

I think what suprises me most on autotrader search for 570s, out of 79 cars for sale (i know it seems to duplicate a few adds)
30 are black or white and 16 metallic silver/grey, with the incredible range of colours that Mclaren do, i find that very surprising.
I know its each to their own but im looking at AMG GTr's at the moment and the biggest downside is the range of colours.
Strangely similar for 720's too having a quick glance, 63 for sale, 27 black or white and 12 metallic silver/grey.
600lts seem to be far more varied.

I agree, I'll be looking for a nice colour and they seem relatively rare, especially among 570 Coupes (Spiders are more colourful). I think it's a combination of a majority of new buyers going for a boring colour, and then the relatively fewer colourful cars selling more quickly when they come to market.30 are black or white and 16 metallic silver/grey, with the incredible range of colours that Mclaren do, i find that very surprising.

I was led to believe that being the "baby" Mclaren they werent highly optioned as new buyers wanted to keep the original purchase price low, tbf from £150k base its a hell of a car, but seems to have led to a 2nd hand market place of boring colours and low options.
Decent specs and colours will always stand out from the crowd, whether that makes them fetch a premium is debatable, but i think it will.

Perhaps the owners don't want to stand out.30 are black or white and 16 metallic silver/grey, with the incredible range of colours that Mclaren do, i find that very surprising.
I think the bright vivid colours can be in and out of fashion within a relatively small timescale, perhaps the original purchases choose something more mundane with this in mind? Back in the 90’s I had a lovely yellow 300zx tt, you should of seen the flies it attracted in spring/summer..
It is why when the option to get a 600 LT in Volcano Red popped up I simply had to have it, has to be one of the very best colours as it fits in but also stands out like crazy, people see the car and go mad for the colour and it works so well on the 600 LT, shame it was not an actual option, but no complaints, its an extremely rare car because of it.

Mmmmmm. not so sure a Mclaren was the right choice full stop then. There are plenty of nice colours in the range that arent loud or obnoxious though, some very subtle but different colours. I ended up with Ceramic Grey, it wasnt my first choice but really grew on me.
Totally each to their own of course, i guess i am in the minority as the adverts prove, but as Sam has noticed, the catchy colours dont hang around long.

Thats easily the nicest spec LT spider I've seen...was Volcano Red only a MSO option on those? There was a VR 650S Spider for sale a few weeks back at a MCL dealer that didn't hang around v long even though it was priced higher that most other cars on the mkt.RSbandit said:

It was not an option at all according to the original spec sheets I have, Mclaren Manchester say its the only one they have seen and think it may be a totally one of example in UK as they could only find other Volcano Red 600 LT's in other countries and again very limited numbers, maybe less than 5-10 worldwide. There was a list of MSO colours to choose but this was not one of them so I guess would of been a paint to sample process or whatever Mclaren call it, no one has any clue what the cost would of been but Mclaren estimate the new car price before any discounts would of been around 275k region.

I’ve got a GT in Volcano Red and, like you say, VR doesn’t show up in the list of MSO defined exterior colours on the spec sheet. However, they did use the MSO defined exterior colour box to record the VR colour, £6500 is shown as the cost. There was a list of MSO colours to choose but this was not one of them so I guess would of been a paint to sample process or whatever Mclaren call it, no one has any clue what the cost would of been but Mclaren estimate the new car price before any discounts would of been around 275k region.

Good to know, I love the colour, looks like liquid red in the shade and in the sun has a real sparkle and pop to it, always create conversation. Gassing Station | McLaren | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
