The other day saw a posting on social media by a London dealer wanting to buy McLaren's. Posted the complete info here, but was removed for violating the rules. Sorry.

Are nice low mile, well equipped cars in short supply?

Get regular texts from dealers enquiring about whether you want to trade in or sell, but they still wont be paying above normal dealer rates, its just basic marketing imho.

I'd imagine they are just stocking up for spring

What new McLaren’s can you order these days? Just the GT and Artura which seems to be delayed?

If so, there’s your answer.

Interesting how the McLaren dealers have been sitting on GT McLarens for over 3 years and wont budge on the £120k as a minimum.

If they came down to 100k I would be very tempted.

Actually if the 720 came down to £110k I would be even more tempted.

I visited Ascot a couple of weeks ago, and they didn't seem to have very many used cars there at all - certainly way down on when I bought my 650 three and a half years ago.

Been watching 600LT mkt v closely recently and the numbers for sale have dropped markedly in last 6 weeks, only 10 Spiders for sale 1 of which at a main dealer. Is it possible people are more reluctant to trade in with main dealers given the comedy lowball bids?

I had the generic text a few weeks ago, we are looking for stock. So I replied to see what they were going to offer, if it was fair I would have probably thought about letting it go.

I received a phone call, do I want a cash sale or trade in, cash please, we will get back to you ……

Heard nothing again !

Imagine you're a McLaren dealer, must be really hard for them right now unless they are multi-franchise and able to prop up this 'lull' in McLaren business.

At least you got a response. I also tested the water with one who advertised recently looking for stock. Never heard back

Dealers of all marques are f’ing useless. I mean really really really bloody useless. I’ve no idea how businesses think keeping liars and morons on their front line is a smart business model strategy algorithm thingy

Could they be focusing on transitioning to electric with their recent patent and their possible collaboration with BMW?

Yeah, it's terrible.

After loo roll shortages, petrol shortages, gas shortages and fruit and veg shortages, the worst possible disaster has struck... a supercar shortage!

MI5 have traced the origin of the issue to an internet forum thread, where a sinister collective of pseudonymous web users have been conspiring to buy up all the available McLarens and corner the market.
