'If' it is a good car, why pass up on it because of no lift? I drove NC500 couple years ago and many said don't without 'lift' which was rubbish as it turned out, unless you drive like a complete tool. Condition is king.
i have used lift once in 12 months, not a deal breaker in my eyes

You can get caught out though. I just paid £700+ because I misjudged (and didn't use lift) over something, and it resulted in a hole in the luggage compartment floor (it's hard plastic and seems to just break). It seems - from the owners group - I am very much not alone in having done that.............

I wouldn't buy one without lift (even though it looks like the one linked to has it anyway).

AND "Ah, but you did use it!" what would you have done (or broken) if you had not used it?

I’ve really enjoyed your write ups on your ownership so value this input, thank you.

In the hope of not having this particular dream finished already, could the 650 offer better clearance than your 540 at all? Or is your comment based on experience with various models?
Plus 1 on not buying a 650S without a nose lift. It's one feature I use just about every time I take the car out. Also make sure the accumulators are in good shape.

Thanks. I'm going purely on my 540C experience. I used lift regularly. Not just on speed bumps but steep inclines and declines in multi stories, driveways etc..

Car looks solid in the pictures, but well worth checking out and definitely having the inspection redone.

I'm a current McLaren owner (570s) and this dealer is 5 miles away from me. I'd be happy to pop along with you if you wanted a second pair of eyes

Wouldn't normally comment as I don't really know the nuances of spec with McLarens, but wow.. have to say that looks lovely and what a lot of car for the money!

Stunning car and pretty near identical to my 1st McLaren....the Volcano orange is perhalps one of the best colour options.

Brake pipes might just need a hard clean, and seems strange about engine mounts.

Price seems fantastic considering it has the mcwarranty on it...someone needs to get that bought.

^^^ It does indeed look a bargain. But I didn't see any mention of having a McLaren warranty in the description only their own warranty at garage? I know it says in title but,,,, . Oh and 'switchable exhaust' ?

Did anyone buy the Volcano Orange 650 spider?

It seems to have vanished from the classifieds.

Looked like a really nice car.

No. Not unless you want to pay a quarter of cars value. Don't get hung up on lift (no pun intended). Condition and history are Kings.

I used lift in my 650 half a dozen times maybe, and I would say even less in my 675.

For what it's worth, the VO 650 looked like it had lift in one of the pics.
