Question - what was the blue like in the flesh? When I see that specific blue in auto trasder ads it look a bit "meh", but on that particular car it looks amazing, on his video and pics. I know he has great lighting there.
Very nice, I hated the stripe but it is removable but was a McLaren fitment so they left it on for now. These are the pics I took when there. Kind of a grey day but the colour pops nicely IMO. If this was a coupe I would be seriously tempted.Griffith4ever said:

That looks like the same blue as mine (Aurora I think?). It's a colour I really like, and I do think it looks good (and is very metallic when the sun shines on it) - it was one of the colours I was shopping for. However - much as I like it - the g/f's view is :
Your previous car stood out, because it was orange (volcano). This one is nice enough, but it's basically just......... a blue car.
Which is fairly valid.

Thank you kindly. I asked Thorney for a photo with the top down but he didn't have any! :-)]
I actually really like the GT40 style stripe thought a small concern is paint fade surrounding it if its removed. The strip makes up for the "run of the mill" colour. I agree about the poster above and his GF's comment. Though, I saw a couple in the flesh in Soho last weekend, both black, and they were not "dull" in any way.
Edit - re-read that and it sounds very iffy!! :-p
there are no "bad" colours IMO
they are all great in different ways
the bright colours are great - they are super cars after all!
but the "duller" colours are also great
This is my titanium silver. Its nice and subtle - makes doing the school run a bit less "look at me" !
great metallic flek in the sunshine ...

I went 650, looks and felt more drama behind the wheel. It felt faster, and maybe the options and active areo just gave it a dab more sense of occasion but it just felt more 'supercar' than the 570.
The styling probably swayed me the most ultimately, it just does it for me, so hard to give an unbiased view on choice..
Prices here are stronger than in the uk and I arguably overpayed due to the spec being exactly what I wanted and it having 400 miles on the clock and being one of the last 20 or so made.
The suspension in the 650 is phenomenal (Scarafice being the usual accumulator changes). The 570 felt like it shifted even quicker. which I don't actually mind in the 650, it makes it feel slightly more mechanical.
All comes down to preference and how you'll use it at the end of the day

Previously sold by Alastair Bols in May 2019https://www.alastairbols.com/cars/mclaren-650s-spi...
the pics and description is repeated from the AB listing which is why it sounds like a dealer.
So the pics are from five years and 12k miles ago.
Based on the owner count, the current seller bought it from AB.

If I were you I'd ask the seller to send you some photos of the car as it is today, rather than five years and 12k miles ago.
But assuming it still looks tidy, and if you like black cars, then yes I'd say it's worth going and taking a look at. As said AB sells good cars, the FSH and warranty are positive signs on a 10yo car, as is the fact the current owner has had it for a decent length of time and mileage.
I'd suggest getting any candidate car to V Engineering for a PPI, but I don't see any reason not to go look at the car based on the available information.

I enquired about this one. The warranty is with Autoprotect. Others may have more experience with them than me, but a quick read of the T&C's suggests you'd have a tough time making a claim on a 650s.
I've emailed also. shame about the warranty. I did ask for some recent pics, nothing yet.Frankychops said:
Seems a bargainFrankychops said:
Yeah looks good. I guess the only question might be why Jardine aren't selling it as McLaren Approved from their Ascot or London franchises - I'm sure in general terms it being 10yo would be the answer, but there are a couple of approved used 12Cs in the network. But seems worth a look.samoht said:
