2k Deposit on a Dynamique Intens Spec with metallic paint = £242.47pm over 48m, Battery lease is £93pm over same term with same mileage.
Total monthly is £335.47.
With 4k Deposit the payments are £193.72 and battery is the same.
Total monthly is £286.72.
There's a new offer in the new year which will make them a bit more attractive (IMO)

Page 2 lists spec differences.
Those prices are + Battery lease @ £93 just to clear it up.

That adds up to £11.5k or £12.1k (plus battery lease). You can buy one outright (which I think you still need to add the battery lease figure to) for £14k, so are Renault basically predicting it'll only be worth £1.9 - 2.5k in four years time!? What's the APR figure on for the boggo one with £2k down?

Cheers for the speedy reply. Does the £17k figure include the battery lease?OFP is £4,763.70.

Also on the RUK website it says the Zoe is £13,995. Do we need to add the monthly battery lease on top or is that inclusive?

Same with the figures on the website, you buy the car, the battery lease is always at seperate and independent charge.
There is a new offer coming in on 1st jan which makes it mad for anyone to buy an expression over an dynamique.

Wait so it's nearly £18k to lease it for 4 years and then hand it back, or £14k to buy it outright and own it fully? WTF!Total amount payable is £17604.42 inc deposit and all interest and charges.
If you just hand it back you don't pay the OFP and you pay around £12.8k over the 4 years.
Pretty standard stuff!

Been looking into this sort of thing for around 8000-9000 miles per year - I think I'm still better off with a nearly new efficient petrol (probably a zero road taxer) at this time.OFP is £4,763.70.

Only if you pay the OFP. It's how all PCP schemes work.

So it cost pretty much to same to borrow it for 4 years as it does to own it forever? I don't know what's worse; the sliminess of the salesmen who push these sort of scams, or the punters who don't spend 30 seconds to do the maths before signing! Caveat emptor, no less!If you just hand it back you don't pay the OFP and you pay around £12.8k over the 4 years.

Not everyone has 14k to buy a car, borrowing 14k from the bank would cost you near as damn it as much.
Take your thoughts elsewhere.

WTF!? You do know that not everyone can fork out the lump sum for a car, but can easily afford a couple of hundred quid per month for finance?simoid said:

EV cars are still very much for people who want rather than need one.
The fuel costs are not staggeringly different, but it's a personal choice.
