BMW i3 order weirdness

It would seem that the order was not placed upon receipt of my two grand deposit, but only when a series of questions that lasted close to 8 weeks had been answered until computer finally said yes.
Jeez, that sucks. I hope they do their best to make it up to you.TimJMS said:
I can't really blame the dealer either. It is my understanding that the i3 is being sold in a different way to normal cars, and dealers are merely agents who receive a handling fee from Germany.
Yes, not sure how true it is but when I first spoke to my dealer about the i3 he told me that BMW had originally wanted to sell the i cars fully online. I remember signing a form saying I wasn't buying the car from the dealer. That's ok but it makes me wonder how motivated the dealer is. Mine has generally been helpful but I tried to make late change to the order and got the impression that they really didn't want to do it.

So the sweetner I was offered as a softener to the blow that I had to wait 4 extra months before delivery is still free anyway
I'm just annoyed that I test drove. If I hadn't, the day they told me about the delay would have been the day I bought a Leaf Gen 2
Well yes, but then you'd have been driving a Leaf.I'm just annoyed that I test drove. If I hadn't, the day they told me about the delay would have been the day I bought a Leaf Gen 2
Well dealer finally got an answer about free or discounted pro-nav. Free option was not there but it was showing as a £200 option for my order.
Due to this I wanted to add the Harman Kardon option, he then warned that it may drop the discount, 'risk it for a biscuit.' I thought.
My 8th Jan order (with Harman Kardon) is getting the pro-nav option for ... £200.
Quite pleased
So car is now;
i3 BEV
ZNP Media pack - Pro-Nav
ZWT Winterpack
420 Tinted rear glass
4T9 Heat Pump
4U7 DC Charging
674 Harman Kardon
2G6 429 alloy wheels
