If you look for a thread on SpeakEV forum there's a thread called Buying Used Leaf, what about Flex.
This includes a link to a thread where everyone got excited about a stupendous deal where a dealer bought out a flex lease and sold the car on outright. Except the dealer screwed up on the pricing.
On there talk of 5k to buy out the lease, so why would you.
Certainly a used vehicle on flex is a complete non starter for me as you're stuck with the payment forever. Doesn't make sense. Guess dealers don't declare flex just to get enquiry numbers up.

At 3 years old our car goes back. I don't know what Nissan will do with it and I don't care. They are going to have to write off the battery cost to sell these cars 2nd hand,or perhaps they think that on 3 years old they will be so outdated with new battery tech that quietly withdrawing them from circulation is the way to go...

We just plugged in at home overnight. On EV forums some people have been given cards some not - but also some of the cards people have been given didn't work - so don't rely on them Make sure they work before you need them to.A friend did the 4 day test-drive and the dealer (west london one) gave him a card but NO information about how it all works, they thought it worked anywhere. They tried to charge 3 or 4 times before giving up and taking it back with a dead battery.
Oh, and the dealer doesn't supply the 3-pin EVSE "brick" for home charging because "it blows sockets" and they only had the Type 2 cable....

The 3-pin brick worked for me in the middle of the peak district plugged into a very old looking power point in a barn with no issues.

yes they gave me the ecotricity card. I really like the car but have a bmw 645 at the mo and cant bring myself to change it to a leaf. I think il hold out and buy a 2nd hand tesla in a couple years.blueacid said:

I've only seen 1 better deal (£12250 for an ex-demo) on new/nearly new cars.
If you're happy to buy older prices are getting sensible. I bought an early acenta 6.6 for under £9K on Monday.
I should have said ours is only for 6k a year.
We've covered over 100 miles so far, most of which I've done - really enjoying it (!)
Walk straight out to a preheated car, no mechanical sympathy needed on setting off, comfy seats, decent ride, and so quiet and relaxing in traffic - really is the ideal commuting car.

Charging point 5 mins walk from work which is free to use.
Means shouldn't take too much to charge it fully at home.
The pre testing facility was great when I gad one on a 7 day test drive last December.
