Why not? It's just another combustible fuel that you carry around in liquid form in a tank.
Maybe because:1) Limited LPG availability in some parts of the country
2) You lose boot space
3) You use more LPG than petrol, so range isn't as good unless you fit a huge tank.
4) When they go wrong you often need a specialist to fix them.
2) Usually you lose the spare wheel
3) You have MORE range as you still have the petrol tank
4) Hardly a problem and you can still run on petrol to get there
I have a 4.2 V8 Jaguar on LPG, concerted at 40K miles, now on 140k miles with no issues....
Previously I owned a 4.0 Itre, 1996 Jaguar, converted at 80k, sold by me still running a treat at 325k.
We also have a 175k Jeep (4.0 Iitre) that has done at least 100k on gas, and I have a friend with a 300k Range Rover P38, which has done at least 200k on gas !. It was 22p a litre when I first discovered it ! Anyway, works for me, I find little or no power loss, oil is always clean. It's a bit harsher on plugs. Never had issues finding it. I have always bought cars which have been converted.

1), 3) and 4) negate the entire point of having LPG! I wouldn't spend thousands having a car converted just so I could occasionally use LPG, you'd never make the purchase cost back unless you are using it most of the time.2) Usually you lose the spare wheel
3) You have MORE range as you still have the petrol tank
4) Hardly a problem and you can still run on petrol to get there

Unlike an electric car the lack of primary fuel source doesn't leave you with nowhere to go. Obviously its not ideal to have to run petrol but at least you can still get where you need to go no matter what happens!

You keep your head stuck firmly in the sand.
Meanwhile I'll keep running LPG cars and saving money.
I tend to buy ready converted cars but I paid to convert my wife's and it paid for itself within a year.
