I'd heard C400e prices should be available March/April time.
Hope it's a 400, I've heard that basically they're being stopped because of the switch from NEDC mileage/efficiency tests to WLTP. And ergo the 350e and the BMW 330e just won't make the cut.I was told that they're going down to 300e with a smaller ICE in them and more battery.
Couple that with the BIK rate of 2%->14% depending on how far a <50g co2 vehicle can do on battery alone it kinda makes sense.

I sit corrected :-)https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/new-cars/2018-M...
Went out again in a friend's c350e the other day. Got a 330e myself. I'd say the merc is definitely more sedate and calmer.
My lease is up in November and company get me starting to choose a new one 6 months in advance (I can choose right up to the end of the lease). Wondering what's going to be available for me to choose. Currently it's a Golf GTE, i3 or something else.
We have options of hybrid Range Rovers, BMW i8, Tesla Model S, Tesla Model X but until 2020 BIK rates they're a tad expensive.
Does anyone else get issues with the pre-set departure time?
I love it, and have been using it a lot over the last few weeks, but I find that it invariably takes two or three attempts to actually get it to go through the Mercedes Me Portal. I put in the time, it thinks about it for a while, then usually sets it back to "inactive" a couple of times before eventually deciding to let me actually have a warm, toasty car in the morning.
It doesn't seem to make any difference what platform I'm on, either - Android phone, iPad, Windows 10 with Chrome or Firefox... They all do it!

I started out using the Android app and found it a bit unreliable and it would take a few attempts to get things to work. I then started accessing the website through Chrome on my phone and it works much better - the site uses a responsive design so it fits well on the screen and with a shortcut saved on the phone it opens and feels like an app anyway.
I usually set a departure time and that has never failed. I do find sometimes when I turn on the PECC manually it does it but it’s a little slow to update the status on the phone. Unless it gives an error message, it’s usually best to leave it 30 seconds and check the status again and I find it’s turned on OK.
The issue may be the mobile network signal to the car is marginal and the reply messages don’t get back from the car in time. Not a great deal you can do about that, test it from another location and if it improves it’s probably signal strength related.

Looks like it'll be a C300e rather than a 400e, with the increase in range up to 13.8kWh
Oh and a c300de
Edit : https://www.topspeed.com/cars/car-news/the-new-mer...
mmmmm torque.

Presumably if it's going from C350e to C300e, that means a reduction in performance, plus they've still left in the ugly "Comand screen stuck to the dash with blu tack" look, and it still isn't touch screen.
I bought mine because it was the only realistic choice for a decent company car estate. They're not doing anything to persuade me to stay with the brand when I get the no doubt much wider range of competitors to look at in three years time.
Mmm, its not the C400e as originally rumoured is it. Perhaps all to do with emissions targets?....or maybe just some misunderstanding of early specs. The same ICE in the C300 is supposedly making 241bhp so maybe they mixed up the specs?
Either way, the new C300e will have 208bhp + 140bhp so is still up a bit on the older model...but no doubt the battery pack is going to be heavier at just over twice the capacity of the old one, so that's probably where the performance went?
Best wait for the official MB stats I suppose.

Evening fellow owners.
Does anyone know if there's a setting anywhere to keep the charging sockets live, at least for a period of time, when the ignition is switched off?
It seems nuts that with as much battery charge available, I can't leave a car fridge plugged in in the boot, or even a phone charging, especially when plenty of non PHEV cars do this.

Guys I have the top spec c350e. Full charge 100% shows 8 miles on dash. Is that normal?
Also does anyone know warranty on the hybrid battery? Thanks.
I find it's massively weather dependent. Also does anyone know warranty on the hybrid battery? Thanks.
On a warm day, I've had 15 miles on battery alone. Drop to freezing or below, and I've seen that go down to as little as 3 miles, although the full charge indicator never drops below about the 8 miles you've got.
