Other than the sound system and larger satnav (which still isn't as good as Google for free!) screen, what else do we get that you don't get on the Premium?I went for it on the basis that it didn't make much difference to the monthly price or the BIK, I like a good sound system, and the satnav had to be better than the one on my test drive weekend, so didn't really look to see what else it gave?
One extra I absolutely love, though, is the 360 degree camera! It had never previously occurred to me how wonderfully useful it could be to have the ability to see exactly where your car is in a parking space!

The touchpad drove me nuts, and the internet is beyond crap, but I do really like the voice control...
Interesting moment in mine today. Pulled away to join a roundabout only for the car to shutdown as a moved.
I was meant to cross it but instead coasted into the first exit and pulled in.
A message flashed up that I need to refuel immediately and that the car had gone into E mode.
I had a full tank showing and about 12% charge!
So switched off, waited a couple of minutes and started up again. Faulted then cleared and back to normal.
Gave me a hell of a fright. But as I need to be at Heathrow first thing in the morning can't really drop it off at the dealers! Hopefully just a glitch that won't repeat itself, but will book it in when back.

Do others find the battery range to be truly dreadful in chilly weather?
I took my wife to work early this morning, with the car fully charged when we left. There were a couple of sets of traffic lights I had to stop for, but other than that, no traffic at all, and pretty much all of it covered at a steady 30mph.
The engine kicked in just as I was getting home. It's a 7.4 mile round trip!

Yes, the cold makes a huge difference on all EVs. Using the pre-entry system helps as it warms the battery up, not just the cabin.
Plus you are often using extra ancillaries when it's cold - demisters, rear window, lights etc.

It won't if you keep the charger plugged in!
When it gets really cold, set your departure time for 20 mins before the actual one, then the battery will be back up to 100%.
It's amazing going out to a car with clear windows when all the others are frosted up!

Had mine for a week now, rather enjoying it. Can charge at work but not home, so economy varies wildly. 40 ish there, 89 back on 22 miles.

Going to take the long way home this week and have a play in the Yorkshire Dales, see whats it like in sport modes.

I'd had mine about 6 months before I found that!
Sport mode is good for when you are "on the move". Engine is on all the time, hangs on to the revs longer, suspension lowers and firms up. Sport + is too brutal I think. The gear changes are especially nasty, but it doesn't half go! I think it's one more for showing off than driving in.

Literally just picked mine up, 16 miles in, absolutely love it, what a car! Super smooth, super quiet and pretty quick. Very chuffed, the amount of miles I do (25k +) glad I got this as it is very comfy.
2018 model so has a few little changes, the centre control thingy has gone, replaced by a more conventional wheel.
Mine is 'only' a Sport so has the smaller screen but has the same sat nav system as the upgrade. Personally I prefer the smaller screen as I did find the large one quite distracting, perhaps I would say that as I have the small one!!

Are you sure you have Comand upgraded Nav? They’ve upgraded the Garmin Nav for 2018 MY and it looks an awful lot better, but it’s not the same as Comand.
I’ve had my Sport saloon for 3 weeks and done just over a thousand miles. Average MPG stands at 45.5. Love driving around urban areas on electric but it’s a bit annoying keep stopping and starting the engine when the battery is low.
One thing I’ve found is it’s not efficient to use the battery to accelerate up to 50-60mph. My commute is 3 miles over back roads to the motorway and I get better MPG accelerating firmly to bring the engine on, then lifting off and cruising on electric. This uses much less battery which can be better deployed elsewhere.
Pre entry climate control is fantastic and I use it every day.
Get used to visiting the petrol station because the tank seems to have about 40 litres usable capacity!

Sorry yes that I what I mean re sat nav, I think! I can download Mercedes me if I want it. Done just under 200 miles of a and B road plus some town and averaging 45mpg with one full charge, which is the same as my previous diesel and work pays for fuel! I have the sunroof which is lovely.

Or use E-SAVE mode. This gives more priority to the engine and saves the battery for a more useful time. e.g. town use or stop-start traffic.Gassing Station | EV and Alternative Fuels | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
