ZOE has had a new motor too, taking the stated range to 149 miles from 130.
63 miles is our Zoe max, no way is 130 ever feasible
We got 90 out of ours in the summer on eco. In the current cold its about 50 to 60ish.
Sounds like manufacturers use the same way to calculate range as they do MPG!
I'd love to know how the hell I am meant to get 135mpg out of an i8 too! On a run with petrol and electric it's typically 40mpg. Which is still pretty amazing consider the performance of the car. Push it a few times however and you'll see 30mpg. Still much cheaper to run than any of the previous sports cars before it that's for sure.

Used the ZOE for the last couple of days; fully charged when I took it, I have done 90 miles and the battery is showing 16 miles remaining, this is the older motor too.

That's typical of what I get from my year old Zoe in the summer (I never use eco mode). This time of year with the A/C on it's between 70 and 80 miles though.

Hi guys,
As a fellow petrolhead I decided to take on a project to determine whether electric cars would be suitable as a majority source of energy for cars in comparison to other sources of energy (Petrol, diesel, hybrids)
So i have a couple of questions i would like you guys to answer to use in my project (if you have the time). The answers do not have to be lengthy.

At this moment in time what source of energy would you like your car to run off?
Why?? (Why not electricity or why electricity)
In 2050 what source of energy would you like your car to run off? (finite resources almost out - petrol and diesel prices super high)
What do you like about electric cars
What do you not like about electric cars
Cheers Guys
