Hi all.
Just ordered a long test drive for one of these. Anyone know the current lead times on ordering via Leaseplan or similar?
Leaseplan tell me 16 weeks "for a 3 series" but can't comprehend that this model may be different.
My local BMW dealer Are unsure because if ordered now, it would go into a queue for a build slot so they couldn't tell me with any certainty but they do estimate circa 6 months.
Any recent know how from the members here?

My order was placed with Leaseplan 27th July, they confirmed the order 5th August and delivery was 18th November - brought forward from initial delivery slot they gave me of March 2017. So 16 weeks does seem reasonable via Leaseplan Just ordered a long test drive for one of these. Anyone know the current lead times on ordering via Leaseplan or similar?

Different question on the M-sport - mine came with plain black keys and Sytner have told me that's standard. For anyone with the M-Sport version did you get M-Sport keys that it says on the BMW site are in the spec ?
No, just the regular black keysEdited by humpy999 on Sunday 8th January 22:57

Ok so we seem to have established that BMW are skimping on blue stick on plastic for the M-Sport keys like mine (assume they are just the same key with blue stuck on but I don't have them to know..) can I ask a different question please.....
I didn't think I'd need to do this but I tried to public charge today and completely failed. I was using the CYC app on a free point in a Manchester car park. I tried a couple of different points and the app said it was charging but nothing ever activated. It even had me charging on 2 charge points in the app, but no juice was going to the car. I will get an RFID card in a few days (first year free with Rolec installation) which might make things easier.
In the car park there were only 3 points in the app, whereas there were 4 charging sockets, I think I did everything I was meant to but the post never seemed to "tell" me to hook up even though the app said I was charging, and when I tried plugging into the post nothing happened.
Any pointers anyone, apart from wait for the RFID card to arrive ?
Thanks
Tony

I've had this with a Chargemaster site and it turned out that the pod was faulty. It's always worth ringing the company if you're having trouble as they can run remote diagnostics.I didn't think I'd need to do this but I tried to public charge today and completely failed. Hi,
New to the forum, currently have a 330e M Sport plus in mineral grey with coral red interior.
Have done just over a thousand miles in it since delivery in December and loving it.
The question I had for other 330e owners is:
When driving in petrol mode on the motorway my car never seems to get up to temp fully.
It's always a quarter of the way down from 120 degrees.
Never had this in any other cars I have owned. temp has always gone up and sat in the middle.

Yep. Sits at about 100 degrees. I note that in our X3 (diesel of course) the mid-point is 100 degrees. Guess a diesel is expected to run cooler (?) but that does sit at 100 degrees too. Maybe if you really press on it will go higher? Haven't done that yet in mine as still running in (and I'm tracking how many miles I run on petrol so I can run the engine for 1300 miles, which I assume to be ideal for running in). It's always a quarter of the way down from 120 degrees.

Oh dear, it was all going so well but I have a smell of burning, a charging fault and only low power electric 'go'. The cooling system fan (presumably for the electric motor) is also going mad after only short journeys. Let's see what the nice man from BMW Emergency Services thinks but I suspect he's not going to mend it at the roadside...
EDIT: No technician available so shipped off on a low loader... hire car arrives in the morning

Only got my car back last week. Recalled due to a drivetrain / battery fault / drive moderately and get it checked out warning. Diagnosed the following day as a dodgy battery cell apparently. 6 weeks later, yes 6 weeks, I got it back with the battery pack replaced and running okay for the last few days.
It would take too long to go into detail regarding the saga and all the crap and lies I had to take from BMW uk but suffice to say, BMW uk and their customer service team were an absolute disgrace.
Desperately hope I don't have DT's issues! It would take too long to go into detail regarding the saga and all the crap and lies I had to take from BMW uk but suffice to say, BMW uk and their customer service team were an absolute disgrace.
