Harmon Kardon - A must have upgrade.
Split Rear Seats - Although this is a cheap upgrade of £250 I decided to purchase roof bars for £150 which I can keep / sell when I change motor, the boot is reasonably sized already for most day to day items.
Heated Seats / Steering Wheel - Didn't see the point of this when you have pre conditioning, car nice and warm when you get in every morning, not had any issues with cold seating.
Folding Mirrors - This should be standard and was really annoyed when I found out that a car at almost £39K came without them, I would say a must have.
I also went for 403M wheels although nice, not necessary and quite expensive.

So to sum up...... Harmon Kardon & Folding Mirrors !
To confirm though, the mirrors presumably manually, i.e. by hand, fold don't they? It'd be a bit crap if you can't even push them in yourself when parked up without paying for the electrically folding option!
Yes they do fold in manually. Can't remember the last car I had to manually fold mirrors in.

Thanks for that.

I can remember my last car with manual mirrors - a 1988 Vauxhall Nova SR!

I do begrudge having to pay for electric mirrors just to protect someone else's future investment!. At least if I can manually fold I can do this when going down really tight country lanes or parked on a kerb. Better than nout I guess!

Just a quick update. I am 4500 miles in with mine.

Notes so far......

1. Noticeably less tight engine, really zings now right up the redline - love the drivetrain. Transmission a bit slower that the 535d I had, though
2. Michelin Pilot Sports are incredible tyres and grip grip grip
3. Wotsits are a bd to get out of the suede seats
4. Basic hifi is a bit lame for music but very good for Radio 4
5. No fluid top ups required at all
6. You MUST get the split rear seats, lack of folding mirrors is a pain in the arse

Great car, great deal on tax, but of course that has been put a stop to so in two and a half years I'll be back to the cash option againt.

Average mpg 45-50 (charges very rarely).
I am a year in, although it was recalled for 6 weeks. Over 10k miles.

1. Agree, it zings
2. I have F1's, also excellent
3. Never had wotsits in the car
4. HK so not lame at all, simply awesome. Equalizer needs to be set properly though.
5. Same, no top ups.
6. Split seats & folding mirrors have been the expected plus.

Great car, great deal on tax and in 2019/20 I will pay (@ 16%) £3,750 in tax for the car & fuel so I will be continuing.

Hopefully your car arrived yesterday then mate?

I'll be keen to see those pics smile

I've got about two months left to wait...assuming no additional battery delays. Feels like I'm waiting for Christmas !

First pic taken yesterday. Just sorted my app. Did a quick charge on the mains last night for a couple of hours ( about 60% charge), got about 9-10 miles of full electric today.

Looks fantastic in white smile

Envious that you've gone for the sunroof! I wanted it but I've already ordered a fair amount so I felt I couldn't justify another £900 odd frown

Sounds like you've got a decent amount of miles out of that 60% charge

What do you mean by properly ? I tried various settings on bimmerpost threads but wasn't convinced and changed them back (with logic 7 on)

extra Options wise I went for the orbit grey wheels, sunroof, electric seats with lumbar support, comfort pack and electric mirrors.
When i had a test drive a couple of weeks back, the car had the heads up display, really liked that on your window screen but we're about £600 or part of other packs.

Everyone seems to mention spilt rear folding seats as a must, but why? What do you guys carry in the boot? The only time I can think of where the reduced luggage space might be an issue is if we're traveling on holiday with the kids, and then the split rear folding seats won't be of much use anyway.

I have to fold mine down to get the golf clubs in!

I found that the sound in the car was awful with all the settings at centre / zero. Very 'tinny' and thin sounding and nothing like when played on a bog standard unit, home or in car. There even seemed to have areas missing, gaps in the sound so to speak. I should apologise for saying set properly when it would have been better saying adjusted to personal preference, I just meant the standard settings seemed so poor it had to be changed imo.

I sat for around an hour playing some discs and messing around with the settings + equalizer, all with logic 7 on. As a rule now I have the fader + bal untouched, treble at -1 and bass at +1 or 2. The biggest difference I found was needing the 100hz at + 4 or 5, the 200hz at -3 or 4 and +2 on the 500hz. The remainder are centred or +1 on the 5 & 10kh. That was with soft rock and a bit of classical, although the genre really does not matter in my experience.

But each to their own obviously, the tweaks will be wide ranging I am sure and no doubt all our preferences will differ. And I do tend to use the power available in the HK when I am driving music

I had an E90 without folding seats. No load through the armrest either. It was a menace. It's not just big things like a TV or a bike, but light tubes, broom handles, length of timber. There is no flexibility if the seats don't fold.

Indeed, it doesn't need to be a particularly large item from IKEA to vastly exceed the length of a 3 series boot.

Does anyone know if theres a system Update for the 330e, as mine in save mode only charges to 52%??. I find that kinda stupid and can't remember if I read about there being an update to rectify this.

There is, for sure. My car is a year old and used to be the same 52% but after it was returned with new samsung's at 6 months, it was up to over 90% in save mode.

On Saturday, I started my journey at 100% with my car indicating 18 miles range (climate off).

My return trip was 19 miles on a mix of roads, dual carriageway, urban and some hilly bits.

So ran in Max E Drive. The engine came on 100m from home. Sooo close! driving

it should do well over 20 miles, when the ambient climbs a bit more! (UK).

Impressive stuff that! Can't recall if you've said previously, are you able to charge at work then?

I'll be commuting about 23 miles each way. Id say about 60% motorway 40% town and country lanes. Unfortunately no ability to charge at work at present but I'll certainly charge at home. It'll be interesting to see what I can get out of it smile

Glad to see so many people enjoying the 330e, so the real killer question. Come 2019/2020 would any of you swap into a 200 mile range battery only EV if it cost the same as the 330e?

If it were a real world 200miles range and looked like a normal car like the 330e…..maybe I would. I'm not a big fan of the Leaf or the i3 as I just dont like the look of them.
I know my dads interested in the Jaguar iPace… but that will be considerably more expensise than the 330e/i3/leaf.
