Hello,
Nearly bought the Mercedes 350e hybrid which I tested first,
Handling not so good, don't like the gear shift, interior more up to date but a bit jazzy for my taste.
This sells more in Thailand mainly due to the brand and not the overall performance.

Forgot to mention the deal after some negotiation.
5 years warranty, unlimited mileage.
5 years free maintenance ( exc tyres ) not exceed 100.000 kms
5 years BMW breakdown service
2 BMW umbrellas, 2 hats.
Free lunch at the dealers.
Price of vehicle. BHT 2,600,000
There's no such thing as a "free lunch" tongue out

Other than that I love her, so to those that have been driving 330e's a while, do you have any similar gripes?

Have had mine over a year but only covered low mileage (15k) as we have to use a pool car when doing a work trip of more that 80 miles.

Compared to other cars I have no complaints apart from uneven tyre wear on the front but I guess this could be due to hitting pot holes (I have never had to change front tyres before the rears on any RWD car) and over the past couple of weeks the engine seems to be holding revs and making some gear changes jerky.

Next dilemma will be towards the end of the year deciding the spec for my next one in March.

I've had the car just under 3 months and must say I still get a smile on my face as I pull away from a stand still start. I also love the look of shock when a pedestrian steps out onto the road only to see a blue BM coming up the street.

I do however have a couple of small gripes that I can live with but wonder if they will eventually get right on my nerves.....

The small boot- moving soon and even with back seats folded the small clearance between boot lid and floor means putting in boxes etc will be a pain

When battery is low and I'm driving around town, stop start type driving, the car needs to decide battery or ICE as flitting between them does my head in ( only notice this when stop start driving, out on the road it's fine and seem less) I also realise I could make the decision myself by pushing left, but surely the car could decide until it's charged to say 25%?

I would recommend using save mode for those stop start situations while the battery is low. Should make for a smoother journey. The car will always try and pull away using electric as it's much more efficient but save mode should override that for you an charge the battery quite quickly around town

Don't really

Did a little test yesterday in save battery mode (comfort drive). Start battery % 36, after a 10 mile journey across town, I ended up with 70% battery but I forgot to reset the trip computer to see what the ice mpg were.

if my experience is anything to go by it will be terrible - in the high 20's MPG.

On journeys where I am unable to charge for the return leg I charge it before I leave, drive there in battery save mode and back in auto.

My last 3 tanks of fuel have been distance driving and in save mode every minute, starting and finishing with 90% battery and each time. Mileage, like the 1st one I posted, has been around 41mpg overall. Excellent for ice mpg imo and really gives me food for thought. The next tank I do on a lengthy drive I will start with the normal 15% battery, use save mode totally again and check the mpg finishing at 90%. I doubt there will be much difference just recharging the once though.

At the other end of the spectrum, I have been driving locally this midweek, charging free publicly when required and have covered 100 miles using zero fuel.

I have just received my second 330e! First one was a white m sport with coral red leather and 403 wheels (if that's the right code?). Anyhoo after a change of job I ordered another one! Estoril blue with saddle interior and the m sport + pack, the hk stereo is worth it alone. Needless to say glad to be back in a 330e after a month or so in a Peugeot 208 rental!

Nice colour choice !. Starting to think I might have cocked up a little by not getting the tinted rear window option!....could be a retrofit job when I finally get the flipping car...

You're in for a treat, these are cracking cars! I had the Windows done on my first 330e after delivery but definitely improves the look of the car. Funnily enough this one arrived about 10 days early. 👍🏻

Not sure what they charge for them in the UK, but certainly wasn't worth the extra here. So easy and cheap to retrofit them.

I think I can get it done from a reputable installer for under £200 by the sounds of it. That is a little cheaper than what BMW wanted to charge as an OEM option.

By the way, I clicked that "extra" hyperlink in your post and it took me to deals on the Renault Extra Van lol

So is the the sun protection glass on BMW just a film on the window? I assumed it would be tinted glass.

My new company hack is due to arrive on the 8th June.

Basic 330e Sport in Alpine White as the cost was on the limit of my budget.

I do 30k p.a. so looking forward to having an auto for stop/start traffic.

BIK saving is the main motivator as my company supply fuel, year one is a £250 pm saving, which obviously drops in year 2 & 3.
D-Day tomorrow, the A4 Avant TDI is clean and ready to go back to the lease co, delivery is confirmed for the 330e in recession white..... :-)

Unless BMW have recently changed it is factory produced tinted glass and not an aftermarket film.

So after loving my car for nearly 11 months, I've now hit problems, on Sunday driving on the motorway I experienced loads of errors- electric charge not working, drivetrain fault and aircon not working. The car felt really wrong, so took straight to the dealer who at first were really good, and sorted me out a hire car etc. I've now been told that all this has been caused by a stone damaging 1 of the radiators, and therefore leaking coolent. They are saying this won't be covered under warranty and I have to cover the nearly £600 bill!? Has anyone had similar issues? Thanks

Yes i had electrical issues and a drive train fault message.. mine was in BMW for 8 days but seemingly fixed with a software update!! I wasnt convinced they were telling me the truth but its all fixed under warranty, and it has been fine since.. Im sure a few folk on here have had the drive train fault

Has anyone done any mods to their car yet and if so, what have you done and how much did it cost?

I was quoted around £1000 here to get them OEM which is nuts.

Getting them done from a highly recommended reputable installer here, is going to cost me around £100 for the pair of back windows.

Does anyone have experience with evonestop.co.uk?
I ordered a charging cable from them as my Rolex charger is due to be fitted by them next month, the cable turned up but no carry bag as was ordered, I've emailed them twice since, but not had any reply.
