BMW 330e ordered...

So I can’t seem to get mine to operate in max edrive, I’ve charged and preconditioned it, what else is left?

How do you find the sound? I went for Advanced hoping to find some middle ground. But haven't managed to listen to any of the systems yet as all the cars in the showroom I tried had no power to try.

I had Advanced in my old 1 series and was quite happy with it.

Very brave! I don't think I could ever do that, I mean what if you would have really hated the colour? Anyway, it's gorgeous!

I could never buy a car like the 300e without a test drive either despite owning an F30 previously. It's very different.

When you say Advanced, do you mean the HiFi system?

And if you want more, go for the Bavsound upgrade with the Ghost subs, as I did, and it's really fantastic! I'm sure I read somewhere that the source equipment in the F30s is good it's the speakers that let it down. And when you swap them over and compare the standard equipment to the aftermarkets it's like chalk and cheese.

Shouldn’t need to precondition it to drive in max edrive. Just press the button behind the gear lever, does it allow you to select SAVE mode & AUTO?

Just started it again and full edrive, not been on charge today so who knows at least it’s operating as it should.

I was getting save and auto as long as it was in eco or comfort.

Mines arrived at the dealer, have asked them to hold onto it until March as I’m getting car allowance currently as old car went back and it’s helping put a dent into my early lease penalty and I want an 18 reg

Had mine for 18 months and love it - lease ends in June so requested a 1 year extension

Payments would increase from ~£240 p/m to ~£450 - nope!!

As an update.... BMW have been back in touch and confirmed that I will have to order my car from scratch, however, they are willing to put me in an 'iperformance' courtesy/demo car while i am waiting for mine to be delivered, so not a bad outcome overall. I just hope the iperformance car they are referring to isn't a 2 series :-o i'm waiting on confirmation but i should get it delivered late next week.....fingers crossed.

I have a 330e and have enjoyed the car.

On 12/11/17 (2 months of owning the car), my wife got:
Electric drive cc msg
Electric drive temporarily restricted
You can continue driving.
After cooling/heating of high voltage battery full electric drive power will immediately be available.

We took it for service and the dealer said it was a coolant expansion tank and it took 1 month to get form Germany.

Now 1/9/18, they called and said it is actually a hole in the radiator and it is my responsibility(not warranty).

This sounds just like the issue from Caseys. Did you have problems with the dealer covering it under warranty?

Just updated sat nav to 2018 - 1. New A556 that opened March last year still not there, new Runcorn bridge likewise, though that is only 3 months ago. Absolute pants

I have had that message a few times, just ignored it, cannot see why a message regarding the battery has anything to do with the coolant system.

My 330e has been delivered and inital thoughts are very positive.

Battery range is around 12 miles which fits very well as most of my journeys are short. Even though this is a company car I work at home with little business use so my wife will be using this for her 10 mile round trip commute. hopefully the range will increase as the weather warms and lights and heating are used less. Heated seats and steering wheel wont help things .

Performance whilst on battery is very impressive and when the ICE does kick in it is seamless.

A couple of negatives. The stereo is awful, probably speakers but an upgrade was not possible. Managed to squeeze in the comfort pack on the M Sport and thats about it. I can honestly say the sound in my wifes old Fiesta is better. For the cost of the car I find it astonishing that BMW install such poor speakers.

My other gripe is the SatNav. I find it difficult to differentiate between roads that are on my route and those that are not. The map shows some roads highlighted in red or green, but I think this is based upon traffic conditions. My actual route is difficult to see at a glance, which isnt great. I haven't found a way to change this.
