Has anyone had a note on the bottom of their log book saying "vehicle list price is over £40,000 so will be subject of extra VED" or something similar?

Been having an issue with BMW Uk on this one for months now. My 330e, with all the options, delivery, VAT, etc etc comes to £39,000 at list. The dealer has sent all the invoice paperwork to the DVLA and BMW UK but its been dragging on now since September.

I'd be interested to know if I'm not alone with this one, the dealership where I bought the car said its a new one on them.
The list price is when the car was registered, not when it was ordered, so if there was a price increase since you ordered it which took the list price above £40k, then you'll have to pay the extra VED.

From https://www.gov.uk/vehicle-tax-rate-tables
From 1 April 2017, vehicles with a list price of more than £40,000
You have to pay an extra £310 a year if you have a car or motorhome with a ‘list price’ (the published price before any discounts) of more than £40,000.
You only have to pay this rate for 5 years (from the second time the vehicle is taxed).

In the app it keeps setting departure time for 7am tomorrow without me doing anything?
Getting really annoying as it is the obviously not charging immediately.
Anyone else having this particular issue?

What does it say in the car when you turn the engine off? Sounds like a preset departure time from a previous journey has been left set.

Just registered to confirm that I ordered my 330e 3 weeks ago. Via the NHS lease scheme.

Got the call this morning to say that I can't have it. The order has been cancelled.

A friend who ordered the same car, a week earlier has also been cancelled.

Looks like some of you lucky folk have got the last ones.

Sadface :-(

Thanks- think you are right in that the car defaults to the previous preset departure time. When I turned the engine off had to click on charge immediately. Cheers

That’s bad news mate, a few people on here (including myself) are still waiting for build slot confirmation but if it was ordered 3 weeks ago it’s not a good sign. What other options have you got?

No other cars quite tick the same boxes to be honest.
I wanted something medium sized with a bit of poke for the weekends, but with sensible fuel economy during my daily commute, which is 6 miles each way, and mostly queued up in traffic. So I wanted a nice environment to sit in too.
Figured the 330e fit that criteria nicely. And should've allowed Monday to Friday driving on minimal fuel.

I currently drive a golf and don't like it, so didn't fancy the golf plug in, and I'm not a fan of the Audi A3 either.

The car I'd ordered was an m sport in estoril blue with the only options being interior comfort pack.

Sounds like it would of been the perfect car. Have you looked at the Passat GTE? Not the same but would offer similar economy and the advance version is a good spec....but it’s not a 330e

Sorry to hear that - im expecting a similar call this week as i ordered from NHS too - like you it would fit my commute very well.

Unfortunately we are at somewhat of a transitional period for PHEVS - with the new BIK rules, the current models are in massive demand for the company car driver, but also will not fare well with the new Emissions/econcomy standards that are being introduced.

Pretty much every PHEV has a several month lead time, if its available at all!.. 330e, MB c350e and Golf GTE can no longer be ordered.

Just driven 205 miles, at an average of 60 mph and 46.1 mpg which I’m pretty happy with.

Great to see the thread still going after such a long time , i’m back on coz my lovely wife unfortunately totally the 330e MS last week in the bad weather. She, thankfully is fine, saved by the multitude of airbags and safety build quality of this fine car. The car automatically called the bmw emergency team who spoke to check my wife was ok before they called the police and arranged recovery. Considering she took out telegraph pole i’m obviously very happy the car saved her from any serious injury.

I’ve really enjoyed the 330e experience over the last year, so i’ve request another 330e MS, now the shadow version, with the fleet manager . i’m hopeful to get something new ordered from stock . as people are already finding, the car is near end of life, so bespoke orders will stop soon, if not already.

An awful experience no doubt, so great news that your wife is fine. And the car proved it's worth.
