BMW 330e ordered...
Discussion
Amazing news.
Someone who ordered almost an identical car to mine on the NHS scheme, has decided they need something 4 wheel drive-ish and asked to change vehicle. This means there is a car in production with no owner.
The only difference between my spec and theirs was folding mirrors. BMW have said they will add the folding mirrors and it's mine!
Estoril blue M sport with comfort pack (now having foldy mirrors too)
Happy Face!!

Great news, I’m back in a car with no folding mirrors and you forget what a nice treat it is, it’s the small things that make a difference!! My car just looks strang in the drive with the mirrors out!!Someone who ordered almost an identical car to mine on the NHS scheme, has decided they need something 4 wheel drive-ish and asked to change vehicle. I can’t find this view anywhere, I can barely get what my mpg is, is that view only available on professional nav? Under trip computer I just get 2 readings and a graph
I have the same issue - our version of Idrive is newer i think (ID5/6) - some discussion here http://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=...PS you can get stats for the last trip from the connected-drive portal which is a darned sight more readable than the graph.

Just heard that my car has arrived at the dealership, only a 5 month wait!
Just waiting to hear when it will be ready for delivery. Whats the normal sort of turnaround?
My Cupra that I had before the BMW came off the boat at 07:00 was in the dealer at 15:30 and i was driving it home at 18:00Just waiting to hear when it will be ready for delivery. Whats the normal sort of turnaround?
This BMW came into the dealer in January and I had it last week! Mainly due to the wrong wheels but still quite a turnaround, normally a few days to a week should suffice for a PDI and clean.
So a week into ownership, done just under 300 miles so far with 100 of those being e-miles, still with over half a tank left.
The car so far has cost around £7 in electricity, which has saved 13l of fuel according to the portal (£16)
The 14mile city centre daily commute is currently almost completely fully electric with the battery running out just a few hundred metres from home... sure with a bit more tweaking of route/driving style itll be 100% ev.
Comparatively - my Cupra would be hovering around 22mpg on the same commute, and overall would do around 250-300 miles on ~£60 of fuel.
All in all im very happy with the car!

Did my first regular longish drive today
Tamworth to Warrington
Cupra would normally return about 34 to 38mpg taking it steady
330e today after a full charge at home returned 51mpg according to the app with. About 10 miles from the warrington junction I used battery Save and it charged it enough to get to the office in birch wood. Couldn’t charge there but still got 48 on the way home.
Really nice drive though, much more relaxed than the Cupra, going to staines in Wednesday so will see how it goes now it’s getting some miles on it.

After a bit of help from you experienced boys...
I get out the car tonight, set the timer to charge and climatise for 08:00 plug the car in and it’s now charging?
The box for immediate charge is empt and a cross in the timer 1 box, app confirms this and is also showing as charging, any suggestions as to what I may be doing wrong?

Probably nothing. Mine sometimes changes to a previously set departure time despite the charge immediately being ticked in the car and on the appI get out the car tonight, set the timer to charge and climatise for 08:00 plug the car in and it’s now charging?

I wouldnt rely on the app at the moment - BMW connected online services have been having massive problems over the last couple of weeks, timeouts, Intermittent unavailability, RTTI not working and various other things.I get out the car tonight, set the timer to charge and climatise for 08:00 plug the car in and it’s now charging?

Ive been hoping to use their "digital charging service" to keep track on charging costs but so far its been really intermittent in actually recording data, and half the time i cant even log into it.

What is the Digital Charging Service? is it through the connected log in?
Thanks

That's good to hear (in a way) must be why today on a trip to staines it kept popping up asking me if i wanted to navigate to the same address i was navigating to, very confusing, it must have been because I "sent" the address from the app...

You should be have it as a registered service and be able to login thru https://charging.bmwgroup.com/web/360electric-ukWhat is the Digital Charging Service? is it through the connected log in?

Its geared more for controlling charging along with solar if you have one of their iwallbox things - but im hoping it can also just provide a high level KW consumed/cost when you feed it your energy tarriff details.
Ive not bothered with any of the intelligent charging settings stuff as its just one more thing for me to forget to change if i want to charge the car intra-day.
In a hired C220d at the moment as the 330e got reversed into
As it's an AMG Coupe kids thought it was great until we went for a drive. 330e lease is up in November so will have to order new car around May/June. Bit worried as C class facelift will probably be the only option that meets +30 range for company car tax when I order (don't want Passat). C Class doesn't drive as good but to be fair it is an awful diesel engine so C350e will hopefully be a lot better. Compared to my HK's the stereo is really bad despite much tweaking with the equaliser and looks like upgraded one is only available in a £3k package
