I had mine done and just picked it back up this morning.

It's a Nissan Elgrand so 2tons of family bus powered by a 3.5 litre V6 petrol so alarmingly thirsty. Currently on 90k miles.

You really can't tell any difference in the way it drives and I used a chap regarded as probably the most competent installer of these systems up in the north.

www.lpgc.co.uk

It wasn't exactly cheap at £1695 (+ new spark plugs and a tank of gas) but I've got a properly set up and calibrated system with the largest tank you can get in one of these (93L holding 70L of gas). Overall I'm dead chuffed with it. No longer need to be too fussed about putting my foot down now!

Perhaps better known as the total nutter on the EV threads.

😀 Got an example?

He's a nice chap in real life, certainly knows how to commit lots of information to text on an online forum, granted. But you can't deny he knows LPG systems inside out and is very well regarded on the Elgrand owners forum.

And from what I can see of my install today it's been done very well indeed and runs sweet as a nut.

He claims to be a great engineer, but lacks some very basic knowledge. He will argue against solid engineering and physics facts.

I wouldn't want him anywhere near a car of mine.

I've seen some of his posts and I'd be very worried to let him work on any car I owned. He believes in some weird pseudoscience.

I've never seen any of his posts on here so can't comment.

All I had to go on was an overwhelming support of his services on the owners club forum. Done it now anyway, only time will tell if it's a bad decision. Seems to be working fine so far though.

Don`t worry, he did my car earlier this year and I`ve had no problems at all.

Have you got details of the guy that did the work?

Cheers

I had my R/Rover P38 converted by some Polish guys in N London about 4 years ago. Very good job and still going after 40K +.

I did change the injectors a while ago to better ones, and there was a noticeable improvement in performance and economy. I get about 18mpg on gas on average.
