Doesn't mean you're good at your job smile

Means nothing. All design work is a team. In my experience the ones who talk the loudest did the least.

Besides, somebody designed this door... maybe you?

well, except for the fact that the technical engineering consultancy i run is now 100% booked solid for the next 5 years doing EV development, so it clearly means quite a bit to the people that actually matter!

Graphene is a one atom layer of graphite and graphite is used as a lubricant.
So my guess was right of it being low friction then!

Some finish is going to be required. The great thing about imagining technological breakthroughs is that you can let someone else work out how to do it!

Jez
Actually graphite works as a lubricant by adjacent layers of graphite shearing off so a one atom layer may well not be slippery, but I have a modification for you. Instead of laying PV in the roads where it would be subject to vehicle loads we could lay it in the footpath. Say 10-12 sqm next to each lamppost connected into the lamppost wiring. They would need steel bollards to stop vehicles driving on them obviously but that's easy.
