Most important update would be 120Ah cells.

That would be the worst news ever if they did that in the next two years

this is of course because we've just ordered one and i''d be PISSED if i missed out on 120Ah !

The 94Ah came out 3 months after I got my 64Ah .. such is progress!

I'll ditch REX once 120 happens and then might buy rather than lease. Perfect 2nd car then.

Excuse my ignorance but what in reality does 120Ah bring in terms of range etc and would it make feasible without a Rex?
I always liked the idea of an i3 after sitting in one before they were launched. It felt so fresh and futuristic.
Hoping dealer will loan me one for the day whilst my 320d gets serviced.

Current car is a 94Ah so we are talking about 30% increase in range.

I find my BEV will do 110ish miles on the motorway (at 65ish) so i guess this would bump you to about 140-150 miles on a good day. Town and mixed driving would be further. REx doesnt get as far on battery only.

As to whether that will let you use one without a REx is up to your circumstances and use case. I certainly dont find myself regretting the fact I dont have one. The fact that half the chargers in the southwest dont work just makes trips an adventure ...

the spy photos show a fairly minor facelift including front/rear bumper and lights. I'm certain the facelift will get a new satnav and other much needed tech updates, like the terrible camera based active cruise control in my current i3.

there will also be a "sportier" i3s with a bit more power, wider tyres, wider front trock, lower ride height and perhaps an option to turn DSC off. could be quite fun:

Thanks!

Thanks for the insight and sorry for my delayed reply. That makes it more feasible to me. I'll see if I can get a loan to trial it. Cheers.
