Rumoured PCP pricing is £3k down, £379/month on a 3yr deal for the 2.ZERO launch model
6000 miles/yr, FV £11k

£26490 on the road

Seems excessive
Too expensive I'm afraid.
Yeah, the problem is Nissan are not offering any support/discount at this point in time. Hence the full extent of the horrible amount of predicted depreciation is being borne by the monthly PCP amount.

But suspect that is just the case for the first few months after the UK launch. Lets see what they are Nissan are offering in 12 - 18 months time...
TBF with an RV of £11k, the depreciation isn't particularly heavy.

Nice to see a change in design. Let’s see what residuals are like in a couple of years.

The problem for the RVs on this car in 2-3 years time is the battery size. At present 40 kwh is competitive at the price point, but that is because it is competing against very few other cars at the price.

I believe in 3 years the typical battery size for a new family car in this segment will be 60 kwh. Once that becomes commonplace, the smaller battery sized cars will be coveted about as much as a 3 year old laptop is today.

I am a deposit holder for the new Leaf. I have an ending PCP coming up on my Zoe at 31st December. I loved owning the Zoe it was a great commuter and the range made it perfect (Gen1) as I charged it at work. I wanted a gen 2 Zoe but seriously? That price is ridiculous!

Placed the £200 deposit for the new Leaf without any firm price for the car or availability but when the finance came in..

When compared to the US Leaf deals..

So I cancelled my order and bought this Nissan 370Z Nismo instead.. it was cheaper

EV's are the future for sure but at this moment in time we are waiting on the Tesla Model 3 to stabilise the market ( am a deposit holder) and allow better competition in the form of 60kw+ battery packs with new battery technology which is only around the corner.

I am totally convinced over EV's BUT am not about to be flounced for cost when the next two years will bring massive leaps in technology.

I fly to Scotland on the 27th to collect the Nismo. Should be a fun drive home smile

My two year old leaf is on PCP (for the first time ever).

2.9% for someone else to take the risk on its value and battery condition in 3 years time.

Sounds like a good deal. The other thing that put me off the Leaf is a lack of battery heater.

We’ve had our leaf for nearly 2 yrs and 22k miles. The battery is showing 91% soh and it’s worth more than we paid for it!

I predict used EV prices will do pretty well over the next few years.

We've noticed that used ZOE prices have been steadily rising within the last few months.

Do you keep track of what they were advertised for? If so, how much have they increased by?

this is 10k with owned battery. So you paid less for a new car that is one bargain.

i think list was 20k.

We don't keep track as such, I'm just noticing when looking for cars for customers, as a rough guess, I would say 2-3 year old ZOE has increased since the summer by around £1000-£1500, this is the 22kw version.

I think the 40kw version will hold its own and maybe increase slightly too as lead times are now 6m; the 40kw has been out for only a year.

That’s good to hear. I paid sub £5k for my 2013 22kw Q210 with 2 former owners and 24k miles. Ideally I want to replace it with a cheap Model S in a year or so. Hopefully I won’t lose too much on the Zoe.

List was well over £20k but we bought an early 2014 used and it’s been faultless.

The 2015 Acenta quoted looks very expensive.

Agreed. With discounts and the like my 2015 Acenta was just over 8k and I’m crap at negotiating.

Pricing a Leaf at £32k is ridiculous when you consider something like a Pulsar is £16k

I can’t belive an EV drivetrain is £16k more than petrol especially how battery cost per kWh is falling

They are taking the piss, they know it, it's half the price in the USA as shown above, they are well aware of the price that the average UK customer will pay (see old Leaf pricing)
