i also asked my Dealer and they said expect pricing to be similar to a well specced F Pace

We passed an f pace recently, my wife said 'what is that big ugly car'. I agreed and stated what it was. Almost as ugly as a Bentayga.

I think dealers are just guessing. The specs for the iPace is 90kWh, 4 AWD, a similar spec Tesla is over £80k. If the iPace really does come in at £60k it'll be a 'bargin'.

Really? IMO of all the mid sized SUVs the F Pace is probably the best looking.

That I Pace's back end is a fking disaster are though. Looks like something Renault rejected when designing the Velsatis.

The closest I have seen is a prediction of cost at f-pace with similar power plus 15%. So 3.0 petrol s/c. Hence £60k

That assumes the Tesla isn't overpriced. Which it is.

I have a deposit down and am expecting £60k starting price, but with reasonable spec at that price point. Delivery around November 2018. I don't expect to be sitting on canvas seats, for instance.

The Tesla X is WAY overpriced for what it is. But they don't have competition at the moment so are charging what they can get away with. And the recent price drops suggest that's less than it was.

That's my opinion too. Really nicely resolved design.

I think the pace is looking good.but I just bought a model s anyway due to free supercharging which makes tesla Hard to compete with.

Biggest cost of any EV is batteries, Tesla have the lowest cost per kWh in the industry where as the likes of Jag have to source from third party.

Nissan wants just under £30k for the new 40kWh Leaf, am not sure how people expect Jag to deliver a 90kWh car for £60k and turn a profit?

The only way Jag can get the iPace price to £60k is by subsidizing the car. I don't have a problem with that if it means a cheaper car for the consumer.

Nissan is a 20k car plus 10k battery. Double the battery makes it a 20k car plus 20k battery = 40k. I don't see the difficulty.

2 years ago Teska were selling 90D for 70k and batteries have got cheaper since.

I'd love one of these I pace cars to replace my ageing Volvo, but having owned a Model S now for 6 months it would have to be for local journeys only. The Tesla supercharging network is so good that range anxiety and wait time at chargers is minimal. Once you get used to Tesla levels of charge speed and availability, its hard to see how relying on the public network will allow the ipace to deliver on its potential.

Seems the I-pace will charge at upto 100kW on CCS .. shame there are none of these in the UK :-(

If a 40 kWh Leaf is £30k how much of that is battery?
Even if it's half that suggests £375 per kWh.
Thus 90 kWh would be £34k or less.
I think that shows that Tesla prices are inflated by more than just the battery pack.
BTW, Jaguar are using LG Chem pouch cells, maybe this helps with cost, I don't know.
