What's true? That's the diver is a paedophile, or that it is a term used by kids in SA (and as Elon is a long time away from when he was a kid, not in anyway a defence that can be taken seriously).

It was a fairly common insult kids used where and when I grew up.

Doesn't excuse using it as an adult, you should be a bit more mature and circumspect.

Musk hired a detective to try to prove he was a pedo.

Seriously.

He should just apologize and hand over a wedge of cash.

Apparently some private investigator reached out to the employee who runs Musk's family office, they paid him $50,000.

Then he told musk that the investigator had said...

So Musk is going to later claim that he was told by someone he trusted? And poor old Jared is taking one for the team?

As if this investigator hasn't been conjured up by a billionaire's defence and is genuine (payment trail?), then why would you pay 50k without any hard evidence.

And if there was evidence, why would musk post and then remove and apologies.

Hey Musk, The chief engineer of the Taycan has a thing for Welsh Sheep's, that will be £100k smile

In Musk world:

"The motion goes on to say that while the private investigator's information was dud - it 'does not matter'.

'Musk had a constitutionally-sufficient basis to say what he said to BuzzFeed.

'Although it turns out that the investigator lacked solid evidence of Mr. Unsworth’s behavior, that does not matter here,' it says. "

Musk knew exactly what he was saying and doing when he uttered that paedo garbage. And that is why he is the biggest danger Tesla have in their fight to survive. He loses it on so many fronts.

And yet we see posts here trying to justify and play down his paedo episode. Quite hard to believe.

Musk has said in his lawsuit defence that calling someone paedo was a common South African thing to do when he was a kid, and it doesn't mean you are actually calling somone a paedophile.

If that's his best defence, he is fked rofl

I feel for any black Tesla employee if Musk thinks South Africa in the 1970s and 1980s was acceptable because it was common place

Perhaps his general behaviour is more down to that upbringing than is generally thought?

its not uncommon my mates where all benders or joeys, both words which have dropped out of use

It certainly seams like Musk is quite a way down the spectrum, lack of internal filter is pretty common and he does come out with some nonsense from time to time

but its part of his character and you can argue he has literally changed global attitudes for many, there cant be many people with the money or willpower to stand up to the auto manufacturers or big oil and win

Judging from his smoking weed publicly, his gf being some weird rock chick and Azelia Banks accusations that Elon loves taking Acid, one imagine he may have not been sound of mind when he was tweeting hehe

Absolutely. But the issue here is really that his mum didn’t tell him to apologise and instead tried to front out the unfrontable like bitter old queen or a small child.

It’s so often the case that the character flaws that drives a damaged human to great success is what eventually ends that success. SpaceX has a mother in charge to look after the lad and there is no doubt that Tesla has incurred most of its problems because it lacks a grown up to plonk him on the naughty step or take the sweeties away when he’s had too much. biggrin

Right, but you wouldn't go on Twitter and call someone a "spazzy divmo" would you?

Comrade Corbyn's Alt Left Nutjobs too!

Dave is clearly a nice guy who wants to do his bit for the planet.

Hardly surprising as Musky gives money to the Republicans.

wker...

I use it all the time in meetings

Anyone that event remotely excuses his behaviour as being ‘well, it’s what makes him who he is’ needs to think long and hard about where you’re drawing the little of acceptability

I wonder how he felt about Joshua Brown decapitating himself, a price worth paying for progress?

lol-and let's not forget Musks family have some interesting habits, like getting your step daughter pregnant. I'm surprised the media hasn't tore his father a new one for doing that. Not as though you married a woman with a hot adult daughter, he raised her from a very young child. Bloody sick.

I think it’s fair that they haven’t to be honest. You can’t specifically judge a man by his parentage. He is a weird chap, he does hail from a weird family but I do feel that someone should be taken to task on the things that they do and not necessarily the things their father has done.
