Anyone got a Mirai?

I read that Toyota offer selected people a Mirai @ 750 quid a month contract hire including servicing, tyres and £200 quid of hydrogen a month.

Has anyone on PH got one? I am curious if they would negotiate on the contract hire?

There is one in North London that I pass on my daily commute, so wouldn't be an issue for me personally.

There are several filling stations in the greater London area that are currently operational, and one up in Sheffield:
Hatton Cross
Shell, Cobham Services
Sainsbury's, Hendon
Teddington
Rainham
Honda UK Manufacturing, Swindon
Rotherham

So if you currently commute via any of those locations, and are doing less than a 250-300 mile round journey an FCV could actually work for many people. There's several more planned to be open in the not too distant future too

I really wanted a Mirai, but the hydrogen network isn't sufficiently built out yet. It's getting there in the UK, but I'm not sure what's happening abroad (I drive in France quite a lot). And they cost something like 65 grand new, if you are not one of the chosen few to get the lease deal. Toyota have said that within 8 years hydrogen cars will cost the same as hybrids, so either hydrogen cars are going to get a lot cheaper, or the price of hybrids is going to skyrocket

Without wanting to start the whole hydrogen debate again, I reckon I will be in a hydrogen car before the end of this decade.

When I asked my local dealer they said that Toyota was deliberately restricting the supply of Mirais, because the technology is so new, so there was no negotiation on either list price or contract hire.

This was about a year ago. I wonder if things have changed since then...
