Really good video of these cars on track. The P cars clearly quick off the line but the RWD version looks like great fun!!!

Rejigged US spec/pricing - now starting with a "mid range" battery (260 miles EPA) and RWD, at $45000 before tax credit etc (so about $35k if you're in California).

Long range now only with dual motors (4WD) at $54000 before credits.

Long range, RWD going away but can be ordered for the next week or so.

It's not just the grant. As I mentioned in my post, prices have gone up as well. The white pearl paint has gone up from $1000 to $2000, and the red is now $2500. AWD was $4000 and is now $6000. The premium white interior is £1500 extra over the black, which I wasn't expecting as it is the same price on the Model S.

The spec I want prices up at $60k on the US site, and that is without Autopilot. That is going to be £50k+ which is too much for me. Yes, I could get a cheaper, lower spec, but feel that would be a downgrade from my current car, I'll wait for a test drive and see if it blows me away before I cancel though.
Prices changed again with the announcement of the medium range model. AWD now $5000 (only on LR models), and white interior now $1000.

Interesting..

"Will also be using dedicated roll-on, roll-off fast ships for transporting cars to Europe & Asia in Q1. Major focus on minimizing time from factory to new owner. Did not fully appreciate the working capital impact until recently."

Still no rhd models seen

Its coming, but given Elons latest tweets about AP 3.0 hardware and new battery packs in development personally I would rather wait another 12 months to ensure these get incorporated into a car am about to drop £40k+ on!!!

Ap3 hardware will be a drop in upgrade if you've paid for self driving. But that was removed from the model 3 spec list recently?

New pack under design is for the short range car I think.

Processing hardware might be, but not if the sensors are insufficient. Musk is adamant that if you can drive with eyesight you can self drive with cars, that’s yet to be proven and I suspect doubtful at the required safety levels. There’s also talk of an interior camera watching the driver being required, the MS and MX don’t have this.

Yeah Imo it's going to be harder to do self driving without lidar, esp in poor weather.

Interior camera is pretty easy and cheap to fit compared to a cutting edge nn processor.

Sat in another model 3, this time in the UK, a short drive from home to Stockport. Queue of about 5 people waiting their turn and then it was my turn. The Tesla staff seemed much more switched on, which was surprising. They seemed to know I'd have my model 3 buy summer / end of Q2.

Looking forward to building mine!

Does anybody want to guess, the price of the cheapest Tesla available to buy in the UK in early Q4 2019? (currently non reservation holder)

I recon AWD will come in a few quid under £50k. Its a lot of cash to pay for a small saloon, though our Lexus IS300H had a list price of £44k back in 2015 but we didn't pay that not even close.

We all know one ever pays list price on any 3 series/C class etc, so don't expect to see the AWD Model 3s been offered up for £200/month any time soon. Will be interesting to see take up, £0 discount on a small saloon is not something people are use to.

If you can afford it don't worry about reservation, it's 100% certainty a non reservation holder will get hold of their 'P' Model 3 long before a reservation holder waiting on the £35k version.

The lemur as specd in USA is min $44k, turn that to pounds and add vat, subtract incentive.

Tbh I doubt UK will get the lemur until 2020 though
