Anyone been for a test drive in a Jaguar i-Pace yet?

38 on the way home (35 mile mix of A roads and M6 in pouring rain, wind and stop start traffic).
I'll take a picture in the morning.
In terms of the man maths say 40kw is per 100 miles and it has a 90kw battery, you're looking at 250 miles for a full charge!? Or am I missing something.
Whilst I've driven a lot of the EVs available I've never actually considered the efficiency before to be honest, just what it goes like, looks like and how practical it is for wife, baby, dogs, horses etc.

You never get to use the full capacity of the battery - there’s a safety margin at top and bottom, so less than 90 available simo1863 said:
Just been given one by JLR for a few weeks (work in corporate fleet sector):
Yeah bad parking thread I know.....
It's nice, a bit like a smaller, better looking Model X with a nicer interior.
Guy that dropped it off was very keen to tell me it has a 500mm wade depth...... I have no plans to test this.
Anyone want to know anything specific?
If you come to it randomly with it cold and not on charge or plugged in, if you turn the heater on full is hot instantly or do you have wait for it to heat some water like my Leaf does?Yeah bad parking thread I know.....

Actual battery useable capacity is reported to be 84.7kWh, so you should easily get 220 miles at that consumption, which seems pretty reasonable given the conditions.I'll take a picture in the morning.

Your last paragraph is a point I made. I don’t think the avaerage owner really cares about the consumption number. If the range is ok, and the car is nice to drive it does what they need. Only a really specific group of people on the internet (potentially ones who have Teslas and have a slightly odd obsession with rubbishing other EVs) care that much about the consumption regardless of range.
So using the adaptive cruise for most of my commute didn't really yield better results.
Probably the type of journey my commute is too though as I let one of my team take it into the city centre first thing and did much better than I've seen.
Will test heater temp speeds this aft when it's cooled down.
Not impressed with that dashboard display, looks pretty basic. How does it look in non-nav mode?
I'm guessing you do mostly dc/motorway at 70mph-ish?
It's probably OK to do 45kWh/100mi when you can charge at home and pay ~£6 to do 200 miles, maybe people will complain if the same charge costs £30 (EH, Instavolt, etc) and costs 15p/mile. That's probably equivalent to petrol

How much space is there in the rear seats, specifically in terms of width? Could three teenagers sit there comfortably for over an hour?
What sort of suspension does yours have? If bog standard steel springs, how's the ride?

There's a few different configs. The default is the below one with a central power gauge, with two configurable screens either side.I'm guessing you do mostly dc/motorway at 70mph-ish?

It's pretty big inside, even in the back. I'd certainly have no guilty feelings throwing three teenagers in there for an hour or more. Sure you could find out online but want me to measure it?How much space is there in the rear seats, specifically in terms of width? Could three teenagers sit there comfortably for over an hour?

Ride is crashy/poor to be honest but suspect that's because this one has bigger wheels. I've also come into this from a Volvo V90 which is way more bargy. In the EV stakes, it's not a million miles away from an X or S with bigger wheels.
Not sure exactly what spec it is (demos usually come with a spec sheet but this one doesn't), I've asked and will put it on here when I get it.
It says SE on it and then has a few bits that I think are extras (wheels, pan roof etc).
Will change the screen settings and take a picture when I pop out for lunch, and also check out the central heating!!

Is the infotainment system really as laggy and difficult to use as all the reviewers are saying?
Also, where’s the charge port and can you lock in the cable when connected?
It has the new two touchscreen system that JLR use (first came across it in a Velar last year) is a lot better than the older one in the wife' Evoque, that drives me bonkers. Also, where’s the charge port and can you lock in the cable when connected?
It's liveable with, in fact would have been bleeding edge a few years ago, but not as silky smooth as the most recent Germanic stuff, or indeed the aforementioned V90 I've just come out of (Spotify app in that is brilliant).
If you bought one, and were used to better, you'd notice it for a few days and then get used to it I imagine, I'm just a bit harder to please because I don't drive a car for longer than a week or two.
Should also probably mention that because it's a demo I can't use all of the online or app functionality so can't really answer anything about that.
EDIT: Charge port is front passenger side, above and behind the wheel arch and yes it locks when you plug it in and walk away.

Looks SE to me - so the wheels are the standard size 20 inchers. When I had a drive I didn’t really like the jittery ride Not sure exactly what spec it is (demos usually come with a spec sheet but this one doesn't), I've asked and will put it on here when I get it.
The Autocar account of the drive from Edinburgh to Coventry (not sure it was Coventry now) from their site earlier this week said that the road noise is lowest with 22 inch wheels (I think those are the only tyres with noise suppression foam in) and air suspension (no idea if air suspension makes quieter at all or if so by how much). If you go for 22 inch wheels the configurator adds in air suspension
