Been chasing Total Motion for the last 3wks in order to get finance docs so that I can arrange for EV charger. Was told they would arrive in the next few days and never have, then told last Friday there was an issue with paperwork but to expect docs shortly and still I’m waiting.
Called them today to be told that car has now arrived (was due 26/11/18) and that paper work would not have been sent until car arrived anyway! Said should hopefully be here today and to call back if nothing received. Called back at 5pm to be told that there was an issue with paperwork!! With the issue being that the BMW Service Pack had been missed. Apparently the deal has this and it will cost no more pm.
I know there was a mention of the service pack being offered in this thread earlier, but I was not going to loose my build slot so never bothered asking about it.
Has anyone else found out they have this even though it was never part of the original deal?
Hopefully something comes next week as any later due to the 14 day cooling off period and I won’t get it until after my current car goes back.
Fingers crossed!

I don’t even know the service pack is. Should I be excited?
Given that car is only going to be kept for 18 months/12k miles would we get any use from it?

Its in the lessor's interest to have it included as it benefits them at the end of the lease when they have to move he car on. A service pack (inclusive main dealer servicing for a set period/mileage) would be a selling point for the next owner.

Yeah won’t benefit us in the 18mths, now had it been maintained for free that would of been better as tyres would be covered for puncture or replacement etc.

Silly question time... is this car supposed to have heated mirrors? Mine didn't clear in the frost the other morning. Seems odd that such a basic thing would be an optional extra.

Yes , same here .
Also no retractable mirrors?? In my opinion these things should be standard in all new cars for uk

This happens to me at least once a day and stops me from reversing. Any idea what it means and why it happens?

I end up turning engine off and on a couple times, parking brake on and off, gear into Park, then reverse. Finally it works and allows me to reverse!

Can't help with that, but I'm having gremlins too; the screen gets stuck on the reversing sensors after changing back into drive. Guess I'm going to have to take a trip to the dealer.

It seems not. So do e mentioned it may work when rear demisters are on but I do t think that’s worked.
I also tried to manually fold mirrors and unless I was too scared to snap something they wouldn’t fold in

Yes I’m lead to believe these are all going back to BMW UK to sell via dealerships, hence short lease & low mileage

This happens to me when I turn ignition on and put it into gear, without actually remembering to hit Start button second time (to put into Ready state). Basically remember to push start button twice before changing out of P

Same here, stays on sensors for a few seconds, let us know how you get on if you do go.

Anyone wired up a DashCam to it yet?
The cig lighter/usb port is in awkward position compared to last car so will look silly having cable come across that far. Would have to be hard wired, but I’m not sure which fuses.

Yes I've wired one using an add a fuse.

Fuse 86 is empty and I've found switches live when the car is unlocked. Switches off around 2 minutes after locking, but stays live whilst charging.

Auto handbrake. Please explain to me why its not the same mode of operation as my old 520d MSport?

There's what looks like a mock button behind the actual brake lever.....did I forget to tick that option box/?

3 days in to my lease & I agree with lots of comments on here.
Wing mirrors - very annoying that these don’t fold in electronically and unbelievably no option to push them in manually.
Rear Parking sensor image on unit - this stays on as other posters have mentioned.
Seat moving mechanism - feels very cheap & clunky when moving the seat back & forth. Hopefully this will improve as it’s used more
No front fog lights on the M Sport.
Sat nav doesn’t calculate routes taking into account road closures unless I click on the rtti icon & update.

Took me ages to work out how to turn traffic announcements off!
