Mine worked perfectly. Then started to hang on the app. Decided to delete the app. Reinstalled. Logged in using user name and password. Then get asked to choose a pin. Then confirm the pin- then the screen just hangs. So now can’t get into the app

Mine arrive at 8am. Very nice interior - much better than it looks in the pictures. Connected drive all setup ok - the actions take 20 seconds or more to come through to the car. Its seems like a useful app.

I didn't get any service book/manual. Is that correct? asume all online these days.

"send to car" is brilliant.

You should have a full manual in the car, but I downloaded one as well.

It seems not. So do e mentioned it may work when rear demisters are on but I do t think that’s worked.
I also tried to manually fold mirrors and unless I was too scared to snap something they wouldn’t fold in
They do fold manually. At least mine do - I spec’d the free option black ones

Can anyone do me a favour and check the fuses in the rear of the glovebox?

Trying to work out which of fuses 50, 51 and 52 is actually populated. Should only be one 5a fuse, but I've gotten myself in a muddle whilst installing my dashcam and can't remember which slot was filled and which is empty. The supplied fuse diagram really isn't helpful because it suggests they're all full when they're obviously not.

Every night I’ve fully charged battery- and app said 100 % charged 26 miles. Today for first time ever, the app says 100 percent charged: 20 miles

Why is this?

Is it based on your last drive? Guess it might also depend on the weather - the cold temp can impact readings. I've only ever had a max of 22 miles. Never see more than that.

The car is excellent to drive, but I'm regretting not getting the premium pack for the folding mirrors and improved lights.

Yep, you've been doing well. We live at the top of a hill, a good 1.5 mile climb to get home, so not seen more than 18 miles off a full charge yet!

Still quite impressed with the car for amount we all paid.

Diesel 2.0 TDI type car would probably have been better for us overall, but couldnt get close to the £229 no deposit deal on the 225xe.

We have premium and it doesn’t come with folding mirrors just heated seats and the lights are v good. having the pdc I assume stops the probs also people having with the parking sensors. We get up to 30 miles a charge. Currently on 65 mpg and climbing. 250 miles in and only 1/4 tank of petrol used. Turning off the heating gives you an extra 5-6 miles. Heated seats don’t affect this. The mirrors fold in you just need to be firm although they do feel very plasticky. Overall super impressed with it.

Pretty sure it must be a combined reading as it only ever keeps going up? So it thinks we’ve done 250 miles on 1/4 of a tank when actually only 50 of those would be from the petrol. It’s in auto mode. Commute is mostly electric and we charge every night if used. I was also able to charge at work when I borrowed it for a couple of days. Our lass says we’re now at 70mpg.

If you're doing mostly electric then just keep it on max eDrive. You can make that the default setting so the car always starts in that mode.

I've done about 375 miles and used less than a quarter of a tank. Quite lucky as I also have access to free charging on occasions when I visit town.
Also, if you're charging every night have you reviewed your electricity tariff? Octopus charge 5p/kWh from 00:30-04:30 at night. Enough to fully charge the car, even with a 3 pin plug. The day time rate is a reasonable ~14p/kWh. The standing charge is a bit high at 25p/day, however, you can offset that with a £50 credit if you join through a referral

If you wish to use my referral it's https://share.octopus.energy/blue-leaf-464
We both get £50 each. Thanks in advance

Yes, it depends on weather. Min starts off with a max 19 mile reading but I tend to consistently get 14-15 miles out of it.
I had the opportunity to amend my order to a Premium but they said it would be a new order so I would lose my build slot. With my (at the time) existing lease due to go back, I didn't want to hold off.

I'd love to know how you're managing that. I'm getting 15 miles tops. With a 26 mile round commute, I can get to work on the electric but without anywhere to charge I'm having to use fuel to get back.

Probably used around a tank and a half in 550 miles.

Got my 225xe from total motion the other day
Abit peed off that mirrors dont auto fold when locking. That is what i expect on the high spec m sport premium, also no adjustable seat. Anyways I should have known its a costable extra. Rant over

Does anyone know if the bmw connected works via bluetooth (e.g you have to be within proximity of the car) or if its totally wireless. E.g has its own data sim network or something

It seems like its not connected anymore. But it does say it takes a few hours

Happy to answer any other qs guys
