Did anyone who leased through Total Motion get mats with their 225xe? I find it odd that mine came without them.

Well, after a painful process (our first lease), ours should be delivered on Friday morning, just in time to be put to task on the long-haul Christmas drives. I'm sure it will be absolutely fine, but I'm looking forward to getting to know it.

Total Motion were always professional to deal with, but the process seemed really haphazard. Forms were requested multiple times, emails coming from different email addresses (and being missed because they were sent to Spam by Gmail). The final pain-point, after confirming delivery timing, was an email two days later saying "we can't deliver until you've paid us and shared an insurance cover note".
It's a good job we weren't in a hurry.

Any hints and tips for getting set up and running?
Had the same issue with paperwork, chased mine up so I could commit to a charger install was told they were on way. When they didn’t arrive I was then told they couldn’t be issued until car was at dealer, which was another 2wks away! After paperwork was signed and sent back 14day cooling off period began (ended 12th Dec) and delivery was booked for 14th Dec. First thing on the 12th email was received looking for payment and insurance ASAP to confirm delivery, even though I couldn’t of paid it any earlier as the cooling off period had not passed?!? Apart from that all was good with TM.

Was a bit disappointed with handover though. There’s your keys please check car and sign here. Going on past leases I’ve had a proper handover including test drive and familiarisation and connection of mobile. Driver couldn’t get away quick enough. Advised TM of this on feedback survey and they were back with in the hour about my concerns. They said they expected better and would let dealer know, even offered a call from a BMW expert if I required.

Set up pretty straight forward, still not a clue what half the stuff does though lol. Bit of an issue with BMW Connected app though, car shows up and records trips, but no details on battery, fuel, lock doors etc. Have tried delete car from app and reconnecting without any luck. Will get round to looking at it at some point.
Good luck

We just opted for the sport model, but it still came with mats.

Forget that the mirrors don’t fold as someone posted a few pages back, but how does a £37k car not have heated mirrors!!
Exactly, tbh its just embarassing when some of your friends know about the mirrors not being heated. There’s £500 cars even had this standard function .
This is 2018 , WTH!

That sounds reasonably familiar. I would have assumed that the process would be much more straightforward/electronic, particularly given how mature the leasing space is. Having to post forms in triplicate is stuff of the 80s!

Not too bothered about the handover, as I'm sure it's easy enough to just lob everything in 'auto' and drive away. Will report back on progress with the app, although I'm not entirely sure what its USP is...

😭😭 There are actually people who worry that their friends know their motor doesn’t have heated mirrors! What a day to be alive!

Rubber mats or carpet type mats secured with Velcro?

Anybody know if it’s possible to put the rear interior light on only? I can only get front & rear lights on together......

After 100 miles today, it seems perfectly pleasant and sensible. Nothing to get too excited about. Tyre noise on the RFTs is horrendous, but the stereo drowns it out.
The battery doesn't charge as much/easily as I'd hoped on the move, so we'll be plugging in pretty regularly.

Don’t think so tbh just charges it quicker. Our sport came with Velcroed floor mats front and rear.

I’m really impressed with the stereo sound. There’s great bass. My last car had Apple car play and Android auto, which is a hell of a lot easier to navigate than idrive.

Anyone have experience of applying for the ultra low emission discount (ULED) from tfl in London, that means you don’t need to pay the congestion charge?

We need to provide
V5C vehicle registration certificate (logbook) issued by the DVLA - all pages
And
You must also submit a photocopy of the conformity certificate provided by the vehicle dealership.

My vehicle is leased from total motion.

Any ideas?

I leased my Prius through Toyota's finance people. They gave me all the documents needed for applying for the discount. Total motion should be able to do the same.
