What Psi is advised to inflate tyres for the 225xe?

I’ve seen numbers as high as 43 and 41. Can they be correct?
Should be on a door jamb or fuel flap sticker, or in the handbook.
They will be high due to the weight of the battery.

I have the sport premium with 17 inch non- run flat
So I assume it’s 43 front and 41 back for the eco option?

I read it as 43 front, 40 rear on the left hand side of that sticker.

is the average MPG display including miles on electric, or just on the engine? or can you display both?

It’s combined. We’re at 716 miles and currently at 90mpg.

Is it just me, or does cruise have a maximum setting of 85 mph?

Not getting anything like that and I put it on charge all the time. I’ve put in about £100 fuel and done 900 miles. Saying 60mpg

When on the battery the max mpg seems to be 90 mpg, so at that average it must be all electric?

My average is about 44 mpg, mainly short journeys, and I've just turned 2,000 miles.

I think my electric usage is less than 10% of total miles, so the petrol engine is doing less that 40 mpg.

Does this vehicle have heated side mirrors? Lots of reference to it online, but don’t recall it being an added option

Pure battery will be a lot more than 90mpg. Now at 860 with same mpg have used just over one tank of petrol in 860 miles. It’s not even worth plugging in if you’re only driving 10% on battery. Main reason for high mpg is that wife will use only battery for 95% of driving. Commuting and visiting family locally which are all ~20 miles round trip, turns all heaters off which affects battery by 4-5 miles. It would be slightly more had car not used petrol because it was too cold and she’d have realised that she needed to be in max e drive when going above 50 to stop the engine kicking in.

Yes of course, if you've done 900 miles purely on a breath of gas, then you're running at 900mpg. I just don't think the car displays a value over 90mpg? Happy to be corrected.

Since I've had it the most I've got out of the electric range is 12 miles, and if I worked in town I would happily be in your position.

However, It's a company car and i wanted to reduce the take for Mr HMRC. Some of my colleagues have done the same and as you suggested have never plugged the thing in! I however would like to do a little bit for the world and remain just a little bit disapointed that it doesn't do an easy 50 miles on the battery.

Nice car though, I like it. even at £44k!

It’s a digital display mucker. Reset yours, just use the battery and you’ll find out. 🏋️‍♀️

sadly I don't think so.

I set the remote heating this morning which cleared all the windows nicely, but wing mirrors still frosted.

put on the heated seats, heated steering wheel, max defrost on front and back.....nope. Still got frosted door mirrors.

Does anyone know if setting the schedule on the climate control for departure time - is actually that? I.e I set the time of departure as 6am... will it come on much earlier to warm the car or will it come on at the time I scheduled???

I can probably test it but maybe someone else already has?

Just taken delivery of a Total Motion special.

Battery on full charge using standard 3 pin only shows about 14 miles in the morning. This seems very low - is it my charging method (ie not rolec etc) or something to do with current cold weather? confusedconfused

Yes - if you set departure time for 6am, the car start preconditioning earlier and will be warm and ready to go at that time.

That's about right for this temperature. Mine right now (via the app) is showing 100% charged with 14 miles. It's -6.

I had the car in October and on a couple of mild days It would say 21 miles on the range.

So, temperature has a big impact on it, as does your driving style and heating requirements. If I went out now and put all the various heated seats/steering wheel/windows on, I wouldn't get 14, forget all about 10 even, it has been single figures in similar weather.

Don't forget the range is only a guide, nothing more. Same as the range on a conventional trip computer. It's an average based on your previous usage. It has no idea if your next journey is going to be all downhill in the sunshine, or fully loaded with all the heaters on at top speed. Don't get too hung up about it. The fun comes from improving the range as you drive!

So the x in 225xe means x drive.

Does this need to be manually activated in icy weather? What benefit does it offer?

I’ve been putting mine in sport mode in the snowy conditions. Means you get the electric on the rear wheel drive and the petrol on the front. If your battery is dead you only have a 2wd!
