So someone on Speak EV was contacted yesterday and told this deal was a huge mistake and has had his order cancelled. Hmm.
Reading that person's post, I think it means they didn't make it into the available allocation - he says he didn't have a build slot or delivery date/. Then someone has cocked up by not communicating it to him. Bit annoying to say the least for him, but I don't think it is typical.red_slr said:

Received an email from FP yesterday saying everything was now accepted and delivery would be late February.
Seen a post on SpeakEV that Jaguar have ramped production up so it looks like cars might be coming through earlier than expected. I'll still be delaying until after April.

Their service has been really good with us so I am surprised you are having problems. They respond very quickly by email.
You been emailing the supportteam email address?
Same experience for me. In fact, I've had another update email this morning just confirming everything is on track for next Feb.You been emailing the supportteam email address?

Nope, no idea what's in there that would catch fire?
The OBC and Charging sockets are at the upper rear of the front wings........... Damaged contact and high current = heat. Not sure if the car monitors the contact temperature (the charger generally monitors the internal charge handle temperature and can terminate charging if excessive heat is sensed) but that could lead to a thermal event that spreads.IIRC I saw a Dutch poster suggest that there had been a spate of car fires in the area.
‘Arson it seem, traduction is sketchy but I think I understand there was another car fire in the same area the same day or the night before.’
‘The Dutch article (in translation) was hilarious, describing a nearby town as “carbecue” territory.’
