Driverless EVs

This was my view from our airport Taxi today. Sums up why I don't ture autonomous driving is going to come any time soon, EVs or not.
The point of autonomous driving is its suppose to be better than humans. When I checked our Taxi driver had no access to surrond cameras, blind spot monitoring, LIDAR, or Googles nueral net. In fact half way through this 'traffic' he decided to go hands free to slrup a mug of tea whilst checking WhatsApp on his phone.
Google/Tesla and co are burning money for no reason, any who thinks any kind of AI could actually out perform a human at this kind of task is living 50 years in the future. And if we cannot get AI to better what we can do already with ease than why bother??
