Model 3 now up on the site (see the email from them below...)

As you are on the waiting list for the Model 3, we just wanted to drop you a quick email with an update.

We just secured the Tesla Model 3 Standard Range Plus and the Tesla Model 3 Long Range AWD with autopilot. We expect them to be delivered end of July or beginning of August. Here you can see more information about both models.

As the Tesla Model 3 is a premium model, we have put in place the following requirements:

Minimum stay 1 month.
4 months reservation deposit required (Standard: £2396. Long-Range: £3,196), which will be taken off your first 4 subscription payments. After the first month, the deposit is refundable if you want to swap/cancel.

I have placed my deposit for the LR!

£599 for standard and £799 for LR?

To rich for my blood I'm afraid, think I'll stick with the i3/I-Pace plan as covers all the bases for me as I don't need a 300 mile range and feel the iPace is a lot more car for the same monthly cost as the LR.

Now if it was the performance model I would have had a decision to make..

ETA - Strange one on the deposit if it is essentially to cover the first 4 payments but is still refundable after month 1? I wonder if the £2k deposit mentioned for the I-Pace will work the same way?

I-pace is £799 with EVEZY, or am I being dense? (quite likely!)

Has anyone with an i3 noticed a change with the BMW connected app?

I used to be able to check charge level, open and close doors and activate the climate control.

That's all gone and been replaced with a crap summary dashboard.
Still same as before for me. Do you have the remote, eDrive and Info tabs below the car picture?

Well bugger me after 3 days it's come back!

I had to put the vin back in a few days ago so I am wondering if it just took time to get its act together.

Edit: as an aside I've had a chat with my Mrs and she's decided she would rather have the I3 than a Tesla. She went so far as to say it's the best car she has had (and over the years she has had all sorts). She even likes the colour combo. A never ending source of surprise.

The BMW app is so flaky it makes the EVEZY one look really good! As for the Mrs...unlucky! "(un)Fortunately" my wife is wheelchair bound so we have a vehicle just for her and she has no real opinion on the i3 vs the Model 3 wink

I've had no end of problems trying to use Chargemaster charge points, which is pretty much all that is local to me (all run by the local council). When using DC CCS it just craps out every time after a couple of minutes. Sometimes it will last for 5 or 6 minutes before spontaneously failing. I've tried 3 different ones and they've all behaved in much the same way. Sometimes, randomly, they will take a charge when I've done nothing other than restarted the charge.

Always the same error - 0x0022 - PEV incoherent pilot state at cable check. Sometimes I also get 0x050C - CAN data error from CCU.

Went out of my way to take it to a different make charger and it worked first time...

I guess this means the charging kit on my i3 isn't faulty? Why is it that it seems that other cars might be able to use it without issue? Are these things that picky?

It's taken the shine off first time EV ownership a bit, because if you can't just walk away from the car and leave it charging while you walk around town it suddenly becomes massively more inconvenient than the wait time would otherwise be.
Do you have home charging? If not I can see why it is an issue. I have only used one rapid in the 3+ months I have had had the car (over 3k miles) as all my charging is at home. The Polar I used (twice over a weekend) was perfect both times

No home charging, yet. I'm less than a month into first EV ownership so was being cheap and trying to get all of my miles completely free.

I have charged once at the house just to see how long it would take, and it tripped the breaker twice so I've avoided it for the time being.

Will probably end up doing the whole custom 6 month Evezy contract thing to get a home charger before long.
If trying from home again you can reduce the charge rate in the car..in case you were not aware, might stop it tripping.

It was already on Low. frown Tried Reduced and it tripped after about 40 minutes. Put it back down to Low and it lasted several hours, but still tripped it once.

It's an old house unfortunately, and some of the electrics look amateur to say the least.
To be honest I am probably going to go down the charger install for the Model 3 partly due to speed but also due to worries over wiring and the 3 pin connector.

Charging from home every night and having a full tank in the morning is one of the best things about EV ownership!

Looks like there was another failure with the server today. Left my wife stranded - wasn't for long but the circumstances meant she was stuck outside the car with the handbag etc in it.

I got there and the system seemed to come back after a few minutes.

They really need a failsafe facility - it's the third time it's happened to us but the first time away from the home address. The system should default to a working status rather than have to validate to work.
Indeed, I thought the default was if it could not connect tot he server it would just use a cached key providing it was within 24 hours.

I'd be interested on any thoughts people have on the published lease prices on the Model 3 (and the latest I3s)

It seems to close the value delta a bit to my eyes - any comments?
Model 3 lease prices are a bit up in the air at the moment. But if the leaseplan quotes are real then you are looking at about £150 a month cheaper for a LR vs EVEZY. I would not be surprised though if EVEZY revisit their pricing. if not they will be getting a lot of cancellations.

that's exactly what we did and in the end I think the I3 is possible my favourite ever "normal" car. (as in a non sports/exotic)
Even my wife loves it and that is a miracle.

Leasing.com claim to have the "s" at £376 per month (1 month deposit) good spec over 4 years.
Good monthly but the 4 years would be a killer for me. Something much more exciting will be out by then and it would kill me to wait!

Has anyone had any further info on the Model 3 availability yet? There seems to be a lot of uncertainty around spec and pricing according to a few comments from people looking to lease so what effect is that having on EVezy cars I wonder?

As the LR model no longer exists and the only options are SR+ and Performance it would be interesting to know what to expect as was hoping to get one of the early LR cars.

After being messed about for months over the never materialising iPace I'm hoping it won't happen again with the Model 3..
We just want to give you a quick update about the Tesla Model 3. Great news: we are on track to receive them by the end of July / beginning of August.

We are currently working on including all the Tesla App features in our Evezy App. Please fill out this form to help our team prioritise, so we can understand which features are the most important for you.

Finally, we want to let you know that using Tesla's Superchargers will be included in your subscription - this means you will not have to pay for using them.

Just a few more weeks now... your Tesla is almost here!

Also confirmed that LR has FSD!

Month 2 must have stung a bit?

I've been doing everything to make sure we stay below 1250 for the 3 months so far as 30p per mile is not good.
Since my EVEZY account does not seem to track mileage (I have told them this) looks like I will just be paying an excess at the end!

i'm getting ready to take the leap...I'm registered but there seems to be zero certainty as to when I'd actually get a Tesla M3 from them..

and they aren't ordering any performance models according to the chap on the phone... the LR ones they get, thats it, will be standard only going forwards which is a shame .

Anyway, using their advertised LR price of £799, vs drive electric 3yr lease of an M3Perf at £514, plus spreading the £4633 lease "deposit" over 36 months, thats another £128, plus in my case c. £100 a month insurance gets me to £742 equivalent

Servicing also extra but not convinced thats worth much when I'll do c. 5k miles a year.

So is it as simple as I in effect pay an extra £50 a month to avoid being locked in, or perhaps to avoid having to declare the financial commitment if say I applied for a new mortgage?

Also has anyone looked into the status of your deposit while you wait? Not overly keen to be an unsecured creditor for £3k just in case theyve outgrown themselves and run out of cash !
Personally if it was going to be just £50 difference I would go EVEZY, don't forget supercharging is included in that price as well. As said, I would pay deposit via credit card to get extra protection. As for referrals they definitely help and can be significant if you work at it.

Just picked up my i3 120a from Kings X today.

Couple of newbie questions, and apologies if they have already been covered ad infinitum:

1, Is it possible to get the door mirrors to fold when you lock the car? I have looked through the menu/manual, and couldn't find a way of doing it !

2, Who do you cover your £1000 excess with?

I can't remember who's referral code I used when I applied, but should anyone be looking for one, mine is b70b1

Thanks
Congrats! Hope you enjoy it. may have been my code as I have had a couple of referrals added to my account today (they add them once the cars are picked up)

I have not found a way to auto fold the mirrors so just press the button when I need to. As for excess I am just risking it! Living life on the edge wink
