Also don't underestimate without home charging in the winter how...

a) Cold you will be in the car
b) Much range you will lose if you want to be warm!

Sounds like you'll be missing the worst bit of the winter though!

We're house hunting so in temporary accommodation. We are 9 (windy road) miles from any public chargers, never mind a rapid CCS Polar (more like 20-25 windy road miles), but we've been doing OK so far. The big secret (if it's a secret) with the included Polar subscription is that all the CYC chargers are also included, which is many of the chargers you find in towns on the street.

Between the occasional rapid charge on a longer journey before we head back 30 miles away, and CYC-type 2 (slow/fast) charging whilst we visit somewhere, we've found it works well with our i3. I'd love to be able to 3-pin it at home... but we're surviving... just gotta find a home!
can't you 3-pin it from work/home at all? Even if you have to run a lead out the kitchen window on a rental home!!!

For me, I'm hoping I'll be ok as:
My commute is 10 miles each way
I can charge at work
There is a rapid charger at my corner shop

Only thing would be that I'd want to pre heat in the mornings and not sure if the Zoe will do that without being plugged in? I can plug it in if I need to but thought I would see how practical it is without!

Work from home, in a narrow terrace rental, we're not too keen on running wires out the rental as lots of foot traffic on pavement... if it finally makes us crack we'll probably get a Tough Lead and do the letterbox trick! But for now, we're getting by. We're new to the area so a trip to a charger and a new town is a treat really!

Hi, there, you will be pleased to hear that the Zoe can pre heat without being plugged in as long as it's got more than a certain % battery charge.

They'll only ask for the deposit when they order a batch of cars. When I put mine down in early July a late August/early September delivery was expected.

I finally got the car 4th December..

I will say their messaging is very poor so quite possibly changed things, lot's of very unhappy people still waiting on cars for months and now being told February at the earliest though.

I have lost patience, paid my deposit in September when a shipment "had definitely been shipped". After phoning in 4 times for an update and being told that I would get a call back. First time it was definite last week, then it was you will here from us in the next day. I am going to try and get my deposit back, wonder what my changes are? Starting to think it would be easier to have bought from Tesla and then sold the car on if I hated it.

I can’t see you buying a Model 3 and not losing a minimum £5k immediately trying to sell it privately, more to the trade who need to factor in VAT on top of profit.

Anyone know how quickly you can get your hands on something that's not a Tesla please?

So far I've not seen a second hand model3 for sale with £5k off. They all seem to just sell for around the RRP.

So I signed up nearly a week ago, and the email says they would assess my application and respond in 48 hours. I've not heard anything yet. Is that usual?

Its much easier to call them - their email response rate can be slow. Too popular for their own good smile

I did everything via email apart from when they asked me to phone them to discuss my application. Just looking at the emails, the first one from Evezy was 26th Nov and then last one was 3rd December confirming that my application was completed and that I was on the waiting list.

Hope that helps.

In case it’s of any interest; the phone call I had with them was just a quick conversation about the cars I wanted to go on the waiting list for and the potential wait ( 8-12 weeks for an i3 and 14-16 weeks for a M3sr+). I asked about whether it was worth having an i3 until the Tesla was ready (in case waiting times drag on a bit). Chap on the phone was very helpful and put me on both lists. Advised that a lot of people were doing that as the Tesla waiting time was dependent on the frequency of new deliveries of Model 3s.

I’m fairly sure the phone call was the day before the confirmation email. Since then I’ve had 2 newsletter emails but nothing else specific to my application.

Is that private though, or trade? If it’s listed at RRP in trade then you have to assume a 10% spread minimum imo, otherwise there’s no real profit in it.

An accompanying email came through with prices, which will add between £20/month for a Zoe and £50/month for a Model S or iPace.

Model 3 P is £50 a month.

Not convinced paying £600 a year to reduce the excess in the case of an accident to £350 is a very good deal personally especially when you'll still get stung for £350 for a windscreen.

In other news they are talking about adding 'mileage packages' in the New Year which could make it a proposition for quite a few more people who need to do 15k+ per year. No info on prices yet though.

If the extra premium reduced the excess to £0 then it would be competitive, I think? As it is it doesn’t sound that great, but I also don’t know how much people were paying those places that briefly covered a Evezy.

I wonder if going direct to whoever Evezy are using would be more cost competitive, as I’m not their worst case scenario driver (based on their driver allowances)

Indeed, totally agree. The policies people have used successfully to cover the total excess are £45 for a years cover..

I know what you mean about drivers as well, I'm 43, been driving for 25 years and have full NCD with zero claims in the past 5 years an no points on my license.
