My July built car is still being held by BMW UK
Are people getting their cars released or has my car just gone up in smoke!?

Ordered January and it has been in the UK since 22nd August
My X3 PHEV was built in early August, arrived at Southampton mid-Sept and is being held at the docks pending repair. Allegedly I'll get it by the end of the October, but my dealer says this is 50/50 as they have 8 new cars affected and it's a full-day fix per car. Add to that all of the recalls being done and some of these cars could take a while - I don't know if they'll prioritise new car orders over a safety recall on cars already in use.
To save creating a new thread, and it’s practically the same car (sort of), I still don’t have my X3 - BMW have put me in a 430d courtesy car since October and still no planned delivery date. It’s been on stop sale for 3 months, ordered over a year ago.

If you’re in the same boat on your 330e, you have my sympathy. BMW haven’t even bothered to tell me, mine is a private purchase and i’ve been getting “no news” updates from the dealer every few weeks, but called BMW last week and they couldn’t guarantee i’d get the car any time soon.

At what point will the balance tip and you not want the car anymore?!

Leave getting it booked in until they can supply a car?
They can't tell me when they will be providing courtesy vehicles and they won't hire one in.

We're not far off. There aren't many alternatives we want at the moment but that could change.

Just been onto BMW trying to finally get my car sorted and they now tell me that they are not repairing any electric/hybrid vehicles with the suspect batteries in December or January and that they will be in touch at the end of January.
Has anyone else got their car booked in over this period?

Sorry to hear about the issues people are having. I ordered mine back in April and assumed I would be affected by the battery recall too, but surprisingly mine arrived last month as planned (allowing for the Covid delay).

So far I'm loving it and I'm pleasantly surprised how well it holds up against the Mercedes E-Class coupe it's replaced.

My favourite feature so far is the MyBMW app which I didn't realise allows pre-heating the cabin (no more de-icing!!) and remote sending of destinations to the sat nav which is much more convenient than entering a destination on Idrive itself. Performance is great and it's brilliant being able to keep it in electric mode for short trips to the shops.

Battery range is a bit disappointing - I'm only getting about 22 miles on a full charge, and a 2 mile round trip to the supermarket yesterday used 14% battery, is that normal? It doesn't really affect me as I have a fuel card, but I did think it would travel a bit further on a charge than that!

Only other negative is the small fuel tank. When I'm back on the road full time with work I'm going to need to fill up 2-3 times a week!

Other than that it's a lovely car. Handles well, great performance, adaptive suspension keeps the ride nice and comfortable on the 19" wheels, and the full adaptive cruise
control (with automatic speed limit adjustment) makes longer journeys a breeze!

Here's a few photos from delivery day

Fingers-crossed those with issues/delays get them resolved soon - it's worth the wait!

Nice! I've had mine since Monday, and coming from a CMAX it's an insanely large step-up. I absolutely love it; the quality and design of the cabin is just next level for me. My battery range has gone from 24 miles on Tuesday morning to 28 miles this morning. The guy who handed it over said it will calculate range based on my usage, which is the same as my eMTB (which has greater range!).

I am so pleased with it, and think I must be the only person in the UK with an SE! There isn't a single review which is not an M-Sport on YouTube or anywhere on the internet weirdly. The ride is fantastic, the roads in the South are absolutely atrocious as I am sure you all know, and the car deals with them magnificently. It really is everything I could ever want in a car to be honest (except perhaps the sports seats - I had an M-Sport for a while in June and loved the seats, just not the ride as much).

I ordered a Msport in hindsight I should have saved a packet and gone for the Sport. There’s barely any spec differences.

Mine is the same colour-combo with the exception of the privacy glass and larger hoops.

I previously had the earlier F30 version in Sport spec. The newer car is a major uplift in pretty much everything, including the operation of the hybrid system.

Should be doing 30k miles a year, currently stuck WFH and the car is on 7k.

18" M light alloy Double-spoke wheels
M Aerodynamics package
BMW Live Cockpit Professional with Operating System 7.0 and Intelligent Personal Assistant
M Sport brake with blue painted brake callipers with M designation (330i and 330d only)
M door sill finishers
M Leather steering wheel
Interior trim finishers in Aluminium Tetragon

Currently the difference although I did "build" the equivalent to what we've had a year now and it just dips under £50k when it was £46k back then!

Nice car.

Ours is black with the cream leather, lovely looking thing.

With regards to your mileage question, short trips eat the battery more than long trips.

I am getting 33 miles out of a charge.

I think the sport trim is decent looking. The sport does come with ID7 and virtual cockpit on the 330e. Seats are also the same. And the wheels on the Sport are smaller but nice than the Msport.

I do like the M sport steering wheel. Nice wheel to grab hold of when having some fun.

The above I lifted from the BMW website where it said this "comes in addition to everything that comes on the Sport".

I have the M Sport but i don't have the 'M Sport brake with blue painted brake callipers with M designation (330i and 330d only)' i have everything else on that list though.

That list is the general differences between G20 3 series trim levels, NOT specifically for the 330e.

As others have said the 330e is a bit better equipped and lower trim levels get ID7 and live cockpit, but you have to get the M sport plus/pro pack to get the upgraded brakes.

I agree that the differences between trim levels aren't massive on the 330e, although the price differences aren't huge either. If I hadn't wanted the adaptive suspension I may have been tempted by the sport to be honest. The M sport does look a bit meaner which is nice though.

I’m looking at ordering a 330e touring through my company.

Question to current owners, I will be mostly using the car for journeys of 200-250 miles between stops, when in hybrid mode how long does the battery last? and does it work alongside the petrol engine when cruising at motorway speeds?

What would real world MPG be in this scenario? I have no access to diesel or petrol cars. The list is hybrid or EV only. Unless I use my own money, currently in an Octavia VRS TDi

I have the saloon. Mpg is respectable, on a drive down to Paris a few weeks ago, I started with a full charge and over a distance of 500 miles I got 48mpg. On the return leg with no charge I got 43mpg. I drive in hybrid pro mode and let the car decide how to use the charge. I tend to find the car will use the battery charge up as per the stated range, and then it keeps using whatever it gets from regeneration.

On a returna trip to a customer in manchester, again with a full charge, starting in the west mids, I get close to 60mpg. More is possible. Driving locally at the moment I’m getting 25-27 miles from a charge. That’s with a precondition.

I'm currently using my saloon to do 220 mile trips I have one of the ones that you can't charge so I leave home with a flat battery and i average around 35 to 38 mpg.
