I find the ride on 20” Tesla wheels absolutely fine, considerably better than my CLS63 AMG

Tesla had a bunch of P- spec cars in stock if you're not dead set on leasing via EVEzy.

Back on topic, I hope the P2 subscription rate is competitive. The car just ticks every box for me.
Sticking with EVEZY for now as need the flexibility due to possible re-location and job change over the next 12-18 months and TBH with the rate of change in the EV market I don't want to commit to a specific car for 2-3 years.

Also a fan of the P2 and will be interested to see how it compares with the Model 3 overall. I do think the car that will be best suited to our requirements will be the Model Y though.

Uighurs, Tibetans, people of Hong Kong. Political prisoners harvested for organs. Tianamen Square. I'm sure there are many more examples.

Vast quantities of consumer goods are made in China, likely including the device you used to post that very message. What's the alternative? Buying from America? Their own record on human rights, foreign invasions, oil exploitation, and environmental damage is barely any better.

If Bhutan built cars, If happily buy one.

I wanted to buy electric to help do my bit for the environment and I liked the non leather interior but then I thought these cars are built by a nation that do everything you outline so it didn’t fit within my set of values. Plenty of other electric alternatives coming in 2020

The Polestar press release confirms the price including VAT, but also says other incentives and subsidies may apply. If the price excludes a £3,500 grant, that could put the Polestar 2's price at £46,400 - cheaper than the LR Model 3.

Well, the performance version is the most expensive Polestar 2 at launch and cheaper models will be available later

No, the LR Model 3 is £47k after grant, making the Polestar £600 cheaper. And the price includes three years servicing.

A near £50k for a small saloon, neither will have any real appeal to the mass market.

Remember, all those Tesla prices include the grant. The actual prices for the Model 3 are £55.5k for the Performance, £50.5k for the Long Range, and £42k for the Standard Range Plus.

The Polestar 2 will have a less expensive version in 2021, starting around £35K.

Polestar never had any intention to sell this in large numbers, they're only planning to build 50,000 units per year. I like the idea of the exclusivity.

I sat in one in Berlin during marathon week.

It had the feel of a well built Tesla. I think they'll do well.

Same platform for both I think..

Polestar is online only and the sportier brand so that will compete for buyers more comfortable buying online, and so compete against other online first brands, like Tesla.

XC40 will sell more as sold via showrooms and the better known brand.

But till xc40 e is revealed we can't say.

Thanks, yes need to wait to see.

Perhaps they just needed to make a huge EV estate like Volvo's of yore with a big square back for ease of loading?

Now that would be a niche market in 2019/20

Estate cars getting less practical as they get more aerodymamic and smoothed off towards the loading bay.
