So I'm assuming that company car sales are propping up the EV market at the minute?
I'm not sure for the UK, but for the EU that's generally the case...Here's the difference. The venerable 320d MSport Auto on the left, and the AWD LR P2 on the right. £350 per month v £17.50 a month for a car costing £11k more. Then add the fuel cost saving for 10k+ miles a year, £500 a month difference easily achievable.

I can't see it lasting forever however as I see Model 3s everywhere now.

This is the reason I went electric, I pay a small upgrade fee for the P2 but it saves me a good £250 a month over a 320D after that on BIK alone afger the upgrade cost before you take into account fuel as well.
Indeed. Had a look at the relative leasing costs on a 6 + 35 10k mile deal and it was £50-100 a month cheaper for the BMW, which would barely be enough to cover the difference in fuel costs before even considering the BIK.Heres Johnny said:
Plenty of hybrids now that have BIK around 10% or lower so its not a choice of either an EV at 1% or Diesel at 30%+ BIK
Its still 11% this year and 12% for a 330e which is the main Model 3/Polestar equivalent or circa. £150 a month more in tax plus the cost of fuel.At my firm however they are making it almost impossible to even order a PHEV or ICE even if you wanted one...
I expect electrics cars to be 10% BIK within 3-4 years however as more people move across.
Haha I did it for a reason wanted to see who would bite!
Anyway so they have a test centre in MK till November apparently.
They gave us a coffee, then took us in a room to have a walk around the car.
Talked us through some things. Then came the questions.
One bloke wanted to know how much % would get knocked off range if you tow a caravan.. and he didn't seem happy when they said we cant honestly tell you, depends on weather, weight of caravan etc.
Then out to the drive, They make you follow a "pace car" 45 minute drive out towards Buckingham then back to MK, once down the back lanes were allowed to push on hard, me and the pace car lost the trailing car.
Must say much nicer interior than the Tesla for example, the car is about £58k fully loaded. The car I drove didnt have the Brembo kit.

Yeh I suspected that, in all fairness would you seriously consider an EV right now for towing.
If you're taking a boat down to the coast on a fixed trip, ideal. Maybe a utility trailer for local work, but a regular campsite. But I agree, I wouldn't be towing a caravan across the country. You'll be unhooking a lot too just to access chargers.
Only seen a couple out on the road, both white, and TBH was rather underwhelmed. Looked like a standard Volvo product where the badges had fallen off to me, but each to their own of course as a totally subjective topic. Rear light bar looks good and think the performance package and a better colour would certainly help.

...Reminds me of the "colours" on the Ioniq 5:

When you're test driving, is the route programmed into the sat nav? I can imagine the convoy splitting up due to traffic conditions and if you're not familiar with the area you can get lost relatively easily.
The demonstrate the Google Maps integration with the sat nav. You start at "home" and navigate to "work". Gassing Station | EV and Alternative Fuels | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
